Rogue. Not that I'm biased or anything.

 

I do love my rogues, but in a sense of characterization and story is making him a rogue sensical?

I think I'm going to remake my Andrastean elf Cillian. I'm having such a hard time figuring out which class to make him. Thoughts? He's going to be romancing Cass.

Presumably he's going to be awesome, thus he needs to be the most awesome class and that is Rogue.

Now is the time for some Sera antics.

A lot of people want advanced behavior modeling and Sera is a good candidate to introduce more sophisticated behaviors w/in the core team. 

 

Missions for Sera: (Sera can take 1 other to double loot, but player loses them for that time)

• Go shopping -about 2 hours, returns cloth and chance of a special item
• Go hunting - about 2 hours, returns leather and a chance of a special item
• Explore the camp area 20% area explored for about 1 hour, returns various loot items.  Chance to return with a quest topic.
• Go mining "Care to work out your frustrations"  about 2 hours,  returns ore for the area.

If she takes:

• Solus the chance of fade items and runes increases,
• Viv increases enchanted/magical items 
• Varric increases loot and schematics,
• Cassandra increases herb returns and various inquisition benefits

 

Behavior idles for Sera while waiting:

Practice with bow

Pray/meditate/daydream

Build/stoke a fire maybe cook

 

Disadvantages:

If sent with Solas, his approval drops significantly.

If sent with Vivienne, she won't shut up about it and constantly keep trying to get the Inquisitor punish Sera for all the pranks she did on the way. Regular Approval hit.

 

Not that I'd mind...

 

On the other hand, if sent with Varric, her skill with planning out her future operations improves - every few times she completes the op with Varric, her take increases percentually.

Cassandra can help her by teaching her some of her own Seeker knowledge - the stuff that doesn't require a Spirit - increasing Sera's Magic Defense.

I like this human! They understand!

However, you absolutely positively need to go Tempest then.

Blowing sh*t up is undeniably cool, and stabbing unseen is also fun...

But HOW COOL EXACTLY is everyone seeing you, yet nobody being able to hit you, and everyone dieing because of you?

i prefer rift mage but i simply gave a opinion on the "ideal class" lol and yes blood magic ftw best magic style ever

Although, it might work since I'm playing that Cillian is leaving his Dalish beliefs behind.

Well, even the Dalish might need big prey (Great Bears... Bears... GIANT F***ING MANYLEGS...) tanked, so... A shield is still the best tool for that job. And if you're gonna grab a shield, not taking a sword in case you get a chance...

You can always say "HAR HAR I AM AN ARCANE WARRIOR OF OLD... STYLE, BUT MY MAGIC BARELY DEVELOPED, SO I ONLY USE COMBAT MAGIC! HAR HAR HAR!"

 

Combat Magic is the Sustained that also allows you to equip heavy armor and high tier melee weapons based on your Magic instead of Strength.

And this is the ONE problem with BLOOD MAGES.

If you stab them, they use the blood they just bled to power their god'amn magic!

I can understand why they did it but it still sucks. But you know what really sucks?

 

The AI is better at using melee rogues to kill you than they are to help you.

Templar rogues would be awesome. Mage acts up? Hidden Blades! Fail your Harrowing? Hidden Blades! Templars acting up? Hidden Blades!
