DA:I comes before all :P

Which character/romance are you playing?

Human+Blackwall. Not sure why, I'm kind of curious what happens with all the... drama stuff. I guess we'll see how far I go with this :)

I actually had a toy one. It shot little plastic pellets...

I can only imagine what sort of horror a parent experiences when a child has something that shoots tiny objects all over the place.

So this is like portal fantasy, but with spaceships and stuff....

He's going to be my 7th playthough, continuously playing the same is exasperating.

I have a plan B) ...though not as elaborate as what it sounds like Dgyre is planning.

I think I admitted somewhere back on page whatever that I never actually finished Origins. I played all the origins (heh) and two mages got as far as the Deep Roads, which made me tired... and stopped. So Lels and I are kind of trapped in Orzammar, which is dark and depressing so I'm going to go back there and we'll finish the Deep Roads, and then I'll do Landsmeet WITH NO LOOKING UP STUFF ONLINE. Or so I tell myself. And I'll see what happens. Then finish the game.

I started trying Awakening not too long ago, but then Inquisition came out so I stopped. I'll go back to that and finish it, sadly Mhairi-less.

Then I'll replay DA2 and try something... different. Maybe romance Merrill this time.

Then Legacy, which I've never played.

Then... another Seramance because I'll probably be missing her terribly.

That's my plan :wizard:

Is good plan.  Landsmeet is awesome.  I should have said I'll be doing all of the dlc's as well.

For all the love it gets, DAO had, IMO, the two most boring sections in the series: the Fade and the Deep Roads.

While it has some of my favourite characters, I find the game itself very tedious to replay.

The goddamned deep roads with the stupid spiders.

Somehow I managed 6 full playthroughs! I'll never know how.

I'm just so grateful that DA:I has avoidable spider queens.

So my plan for Abaeni is (at 23 power) conquer Emprise du Lion, then conquer the western approach (saving the showdown there with Erimond for last) then Abyss, Halamshiral, Blackwall/Royeux (or go track him down before the ball if necessary because I will not be denied my dance!) and Arbour Wilds all in one giant cinematic shot.

Then I'll go to the Wastes and have Abaeni and Varric learn about their heritage, and then the final showdown with Corypheus.

yeah the Deep Roads could drag a bit, but I feel like a game needs at least one section that you really have to grind through to give some some good 'meat', I'd be afraid if they didn't built those in they would end up making quick games that are too quick through missions and sections, so I didn't mind the Deep Roads, but definitely dungeon crawling

I'd have been perfectly happy if the Deap Roads were just golems, darkspawn, deep stalekrs and spirits. More than happy, even.

I lvoed the fetch quest to summon the demon. Just those goddamned spiders... Eugh.

I get what you mean but I prefer the way Inquisition does long quests is all.

a lot of the sections in Origins seemed grind mode like until I figured out exactly where to go. The Fade mainly. Orzammar is really tedious though. i did enjoy the various npcs we met and helped. That part was awesome. Always have a soft spot for Dagna though my canon Warden chastised her a bit for being so anxious to leave. I head canon that Leli had to show her how important what Dagna wanted to do was and thus she eeventually agreed to help.

Speaking of Saints Row 2 (all those hours ago), I wonder how well Sera would get on in that world? I imagine her and Gat would be best buds or trying to kill each another.

Eugh, I know. I have to be up at 5:30 tomorrow (technically today) because our house will be a construction zone for the next week and the workers start at 6:00 a.m. tomorrow.

Gods save me. I have no clue why they need to arrive at 6:00, but they wouldn't budge on arriving later.

Because they are builders and they only have to work a certain amount of hours so the earlier they start, the earlier they can finish and spend the rest of the day down the pub.

I'm not normally even awake until quarter to seven. :(

Like seriously, they could have compromised for 7:00, but no.

Ah, it wasn't powerful enough to do damage. That said it would probably break health and safety regs these days. I had a batmobile by the same manufacturer that did a similar thing...

I'm not sure that Buck Rogers was quite portal fantasy, as I don't recall there being a way back in sight. He was just cryo-frozen and woke up in the future. It must be close to 30 years since I watched an episode, though, so I could be mis-remembering. Basically, like its contemporary the original Battlestar Galactica, it was mostly cashing in on the popularity of Star Wars...

Buck Rogers is a comic book character from 1925 and there was a 1950 tv series. The 1979 remake was probably do to star wars though.

I was specifically talking about the 70s version as I posted the intro on page 2491 (the year where Buck ends up in that version), but yes. It was one of those 1930's movie serials, too. The original Buck Rogers, like Flash Gordon, was part of Lucas's inspiration for Star Wars as I understand it, so you could see it as some kind of cyclical loop...

How far are ya?

Saint row 2 is the only one I havent finished yet . I started over to get a feel again...but I probably end up stuck at the same place anyway .

The only place I found tedious in the deep road is when you run after that Branca...and the whole 'rape' stuff and broodmother......now that I wish I could Skip .

yeah dagna in DAO was just way too cute and her enthusiasm was contagious  I always talk to her and do her quest asap even if it mean getting some combat on the way back and forth .

Ya should ask if sera would get better with Shaundi who is all mellow or Gat or Pierce ! Oh Pierce....he is so funny...
