Anyone who'd try to force you into having kids against your will isn't a man that you'd want to stay with, I'd say, although I'm aware that it's not always so easy to get yourself out of a relationship with a control-freak... :(

I would have thought you probably shouldn't marry someone who isn't at least that understanding. Unless they have a truly sparkling wit or something I guess.

Well, that's certainly true. And I make it pretty obvious that it's an impossible scenario with anyone I get involved with, because it's not fair to them otherwise. I'd be leading them on.

Well... Beside anything else, there are 7 billion of us on the planet. It's not like we have a shortage of kids right now. I've no issue with people who want kids, but I'm not sure why they should be expected by/of anyone.

It's a super annoying outlook, but apparently people who don't want kids are selfish and will lead unfilfilling lives, blah blah blah.

Yep,  at the rate we are going a massive energy and possibly food shortage is just around the corner. I'm just glad that no one in my family expected me to have kids.

On the flip-side there are loads of people who have them, aren't fit for parenting, or regret having them (how fulfilled do they feel) and that's really not a great place to put a child.

Don't even get me started on unfit parents. That issue ticks me off.

I've heard 'don't let the idiots out breed you' put forth as an argument.

Is that a common attitude you encounter?

It's super cute. Amy Adams is a fantastic princess! And hello it has McDreamy as the LI!

Who is McDreamy?

I could easily google that but I figure this the more civil approach.

Exactly. If I can't even handle babysitting for more than 4 hours how am I ever supposed to have a kid?

I've always thought that any child brought into this world deserves to be both expected and wanted and loved. (You know, minus certain exceptions.)

Oh yeah, along with "Oh you'll change your mind." I want to smack people who talk to me about having kids. I also get "But I want grandkids." from my mother. *eyeroll*

McDreamy is a nickname for a character in the tv show Greys Anatomy played by Patrick Dempsy.

I think I've actually seen all the latest (except for Wreck-It-Ralph which I saw on DVD) in theatre, including the re-release of Beauty and the BEast to 3d which was incredible.

The only one I really didn't like was The Princess and the Frog because it is plain creepy!

The you'll change argument is possibly the most patronising thing ever.

It's definitely out there, yeah.

I should probably stop being surprised by these sorts of things.

Seriously, drives me up the bloody wall. I may be young, but I am allowed to know things about my outlook and my body.

Then I still have to deal with them until they're 18. No thank you.

I'd rather travel the world and spend money on expensive dinners than kidlets. Do you know how much money it costs to raise a kid?

Exactly! That's a down payment on a house or a really nice car, or a cruise around the Mediterranean!

If that's selfish, then I'm totally fine with being selfish!
