Crazy story

Dated a woman about eight years ago. Turns out that she had some issues and was not even remotely close to being a good person, but hid both pretty well. Once she started to show her real self. I started looking for the door and quick. Because she knew I was the kind of guy that would stick around for the sake of a kid, she started pulling all sorts of a crap in an effort to get pregnant by me. Once that started, I had a vasectomy and took off. Few years later she pop'ed up and tried to take me to court for child support. The look on her face was priceless when the judge started looking at the medical bills and realized that there was no way in hell the kid could be mine. Simply because she became pregnant about 4 tot 5 months after I had the surgery and took off.

Then I still have to deal with them until they're 18. No thank you.

I'd rather travel the world and spend money on expensive dinners than kidlets. Do you know how much money it costs to raise a kid?

A million pounds.  :D I can see your reasoning though. I too want to travel before I even think about kids but to be perfectly honest, I've already thought of a name I'd like for a girl. Elise because it's so fancy!

If that's selfish, then I'm totally fine with being selfish!

It's not selfish. Not the least bit.

Someone else wanting to control whether or not you do... that's selfishness.

Wow, women are insane. Seriously, I hear all these stories and it's like... just because you have a uterus does not mean you get to pull crazy stunts and get paid off for it!

You had a vasectomy? How old were you?

Exactly! That's a down payment on a house or a really nice car, or a cruise around the Mediterranean!

And that is why I play video games, to use all the names I love on my fictional children. :P

That's not selfish. If you don't want kids, don't have them. Better for the yet to be formed child because they don't have to grow up in an environment where they aren't wanted.

I don't plan on having kids until I'm at least in my mid 30's and I've travelled a bit and locked down a successful career that pays well.

I find it always aches a little bit to think about them. Animals take a little piece of your heart, and you never truly get it back even when they're gone.
