her dad own a ice ring. Snuck in, skated for a bit. She got cheeky and tried to be all ice princess.. came in too hot and ended up landing on my hand breaking 3 of my fingers. I then reset my fingers and said "last time i go skating"... good times

By not absorbing the impact through areas where you'll hurt yourself less.
Always try to spread the impact out through your body and fall on your buttocks if possible. If falling forward catch yourself with your forearms.

Bah. I made some time to work on Migrant Fleet Marine, but I can't get into it. I need to think it through a little better... What do I actually want to do?
I won't make it a mystery, I work the best when I know exactly what I want to write, BEFORE I start writing. All I have right now is some basic sketch-up.
Isn't the essence of writing a mystery that you know the secret, but you figure out a way to write it in a manner that makes it tough to guess for the reader?

The chapter I'm writing is a Quarian SF operator's second mission outside of the fleet. It's a recon gig, so there is a little mystery, but nothing major. Either Sar and her team find out there are bad guys, or there were bad guys in the past, or the intel was completely wrong. No other outcomes, really.
(Of course she's not the teamleader. Someone else is, but she's the DM of the team.)
Me not making things a mystery was me saying I'm not good without pre-thinking everything. Got my favorite song for the writing in my ears now though, and I broke the ice. I'm an icebreaker!
