Morning lovelies.
Ugh, sooo sleepy. Slept on the couch last night after tossing and turning in bed for two hours.

Tylenol PM. It will take you right out (does me on those nights I am too wound up with stress/anxiety/whatever).

Not really! They seem to be invested in an Imperial culture that is somehow different from that of the Republic without ever elucidating what it actually is. They also don't technically mention it directly either, and I might just be pointing it out to be charitable (or because of countless stupid Eirene Post-filled arguments with Imp loyalists on the SWTOR forums). They don't seem to be overly fussed about the ordinary people of the Empire considering how they treat them in the various internal security missions.
In fact, the sole explicit discussion of what the non-Sith Imps want to do that the Sith Imps don't is basically 'stop acting like psychos to people who are trying to do their jobs (i.e. us)'. They don't actually object to what those jobs are in many instances, except for snide comments about suppressing slave rebellions or cleaning up the dark lords' messes. They seem to be in it for raison d'état and victory over the Republic and little else, and even those things aren't particularly clear.
So the anti-Sith aspect of the Empire isn't fleshed out much more than somebody who was a fangirl of the Imps from the movies would want. They say 'not this' without any real program for what would replace it. They have even less of a plan than the Malet plotters or the Stauffenberg ring. Which is probably because they don't actually want to get rid of the Sith, or at least don't appear to want to. The Agent Chapter 1 and Agent Chapter 3 enemy groups are the ones most associated with that program. At the end of the class quest, Intelligence mostly wants to keep doing its job for the Sith, and doing it well, without the Sith exercising things like unreasonable fiat executions or oversight.
I can see that. Just like I can see the end goal of the non-Sith side of Empire to be to completely take out the Sith once The Empire has taken over and they have the means to do so. While I'm a huge fan of the Sith it does not take a rocket scientist to figure out what an Empire ruled by Sith would be like. Someone with god complex, force powers and a light saber isn't the kind of person you wan't in a leadership position at any level. If the Sith where to remain in power if the Empire where to take over, it would simply mean nonstop war due to all of the in fighting.

The couch is a miracle worker, I can fall right asleep. It's just the act of giving up on my bed, and being stubborn.

You're lucky. I am 6ft3 and the couch is no option unless I want my feet hanging off the edge all night.

Hmm, okay. I'm not exactly surprised.
I guess that's relatively reasonable, overthrowing a government is a pretty big deal even if you're unhappy with it. Of course the Sith being shank-happy psychos who aren't going to be voted out anytime soon makes the whole thing more melodramatic than it should be. I'd love more complex explorations of those themes but guess this isn't the place to expect it.
By my definition, the game doesn't involve much grinding at all; you don't even need to complete every mission and side quest given to you in order to remain leveled enough to complete all content easily.
Grinding was the wrong word, I did seem to get through content at a reasonable rate, and on a few occasions managed to punch above level when needed. I just wasn't head over heels for the core gameplay, and there was lot of combat so it felt a bit of a chore moving between places. That said I was actually impressed with how the Consular's abilities were often cool things worth talking about rather than cop out mage things.
Thanks for the detail though.

Pocket-sized Dazzle.
After Halamshiral you get a schematic for the uniform, so you can craft it as armour. Different materials result in different colour schemes. No re-skinning required!
Nice to know....

It even has a higher armor rating too. I was able to get one for Mara that was 198 (since discarded).

For a short while after getting it I didn't have any tier three heavy armour schematics, so it had a higher armour rating than anything that I could craft for my warriors! ![]()

It got discarded after I got a tier 3 prowler schematic and a tier three Templar one that all gave really high ratings. I think one of those was dropped by Hivernal in Emprise but not sure. I am discovering the reason to kill dragons: LOOT. I avoided it the first game cause I was "Gee, they're so neat and it's not like they're doing anything."
Not this time! ![]()

Hells yeah. They drop some cool stuff, and especially they drop tier 4 crafting materials. I just wish that the colours were a little cooler, but I guess that's down to taste.
Guys someone come and give me a massage and coffee.
Blargh.

The colors are a little ridiculous. Right now my party really does look like the cover of some Marvel super-team book! I made Dorian something last night that was some weird shade of gray with bits of purple. Odd looking but somehow all very Dorian! I haven't got any tier 4 yet but I am going to kill the other two dragons in Emprise soon so we'll see!

Mages have it worst as the Dragon webbing gives an orange material. Tressa and Solas looked like the Theodosian equivalent of Dutch football fans!

Cass and Sera don't look so bad in their dragon gear. Sera got off well in her Superior Prowler Mail as the armour rating comes from the leather which only shows up in the legs.

A'right guys! How's it goin'?

Ouch that is super orange! It's almost as if you'd expect Solas to turn around so you could see "Robben" printed there! ![]()
I've strong suspicion we'll be getting crafting dlc's at some point. ![]()

Hiya Poodle! Goin' good here.

Aye, that's good to here.
Where did everybody go!? I'm all alone!
Argh, stupid hotfix making the game unplayable due to lag. The screen actually gives me motion sickness now because of the rocking pauses.
I was going to capture Suledin Keep last night, but even repairing the game didn't work. Hopefully things are better when I log-in tonight.
