LOL
I do think there will be something about it, just as a way of showing that Sera is unavailable to male PCs. But I hope it doesn't go beyond that.
Yeah, I don't really think including sexual harassment would benefit the game.

Maybe not as sexual harassment, but maybe have a little friendly joking between the two that sounds like flirting.

In my personal experience, most mens idea of what is just friendly flirting is actually sexual harassment, but thankfully I have more trust in Bioware's writing than that, lol.
Also dunno if this was posted already but whatever.

I imagine Sera dancing hard to this, but she she'd do that selective singalong thing where she only knows the lala parts and "busting their noses!":

Really weird and awesome for my favourite band to pop up in this thread!! My forum name is a title of another one of their songs. ![]()
dance with me Sera, I know all the words!
everyone go listen to them. they don't get enough credit.

Really? I mean, I'm not one to make the subtext text, but Sera is.

I wasn't very awake when I posted that, but I just put your quote with the song into the OP.
I didn't pick "Bad Reputation," because I was going for a song about romance. Plus, I did say "not many" songs, not "only one." ![]()
Think of the mayhem.
(Quick doodle so forgive my laziness

I'm actually hoping there ISN'T an option for male Inquisitions to hit on or flirt with Sera, to be perfectly honest.
Why is that? Do you want another DA:O where the "straight" or in this case lesbians character's sexuality is vague and undefined?

Huh? There are ways to define a character as a lesbian without including men and/or being hit on by them.

I was thinking the same thing. Out of likes, sorry.

Because I don't believe such an option for male PCs (or lack thereof) would make Sera's sexuality any more or less defined. The fact that she's a lesbian can be acknowledged without the need for the male PC to express romantic or sexual interest in her.
That said, I suspect there will be such a thing, in which case I at least hope it's only one instance and not too many.

Nah, all lesbians are really straight until proven otherwise.

Please tell me you're being sarcastic.

She is.
Though I'm not sure if she was also sarcastic in the first post. ![]()
I liked it for you.
Thanks. ![]()

Ah, okay. I had to ask, because I've seen that said with utter seriousness as of late.
I knew Morrigan was straight without her telling me she didn't eat clams.
How did you?

So either Sera makes it obvious that she is a lesbian (which is easy to do) or a male tries to hit on her and she turns him down. Big deal...
My point is, who cares if the males inquisitor can show interest if he is in fact, ya know... interested.
Sera is not going to hook up with a male inquisitor. If he wants to show his interest, so be it, that is not going to detract from her sexuality.
People are so focused on keeping everything in little boxes. It doesn't work like that.
Whatever. Every sexuality and gender will stick to themselves and omg we can't acknowledge anything else exists because that would be the end of the world.

Or just some friendly joking in general.
Once a person has shut another down and made it clear they'll never be interested that way, continuing to push unsolicited and reciprocated comments about dating or sex is not "friendly" or "flirting." When a person says they're not interested, it usually means they don't want to hear about it anymore. Even if the flirter says it in what they think is a "friendly" or "joking" way, it's usually not received that way because "I'm not interested" is not an invitation to keep flirting or soliciting.
Please tell me you're being sarcastic.
Considering I am very much NOT straight... I would sure hope so.
Personally I'd prefer an option to hit on incompatible characters and be shot down.
It doesn't bother me when I'm playing a straight male character and a male character hits on me. I just turn him down. But it did bother me in Origins when I played through with a lesbian Cousland that I couldn't hit on Morrigan and get rejected.
People talk a lot about denying the companions agency; I feel that not allowing us to hit on incompatible characters and be rejected denies the player agency.

I kinda figured, judging by your signature. ![]()
I've just seen some interesting...<looks for a nice word>...people on the forums lately.
Here, have a penquin hug for my transgression:

Tbh I have always like the idea of the PC being able to flirt with non romanceable companions (or just companions that wont romance certain pc's) and then being shut down. I can see why any more than the initial flirt would be a bad thing though, it would seem like harassment and in Sera's case would probably lead to yet more complaining about her from certain people, which I really don't want to ever see again tbh.

But no, I totally get it. sometimes i'ts really hard having a sarcastic personality on the BSN.

I was talking more just a friendly jab for no reason.
