psssh, game not working is a minor problem.. I have a MAJOR serious very important life altering problem.........

 

 

I am buying my PS4 this weekend, but I am still in the middle of my Qunari Rogue playthrough, haven't done the Fade or the Ball yet.  I know if I get the ps4 I am going to want to play it cause...NEW SYSTEM!!!!   but...that means I have redo the 30 hours I have in on my playthrough so far....

 

so do I hold of on buying my brand new shiny awesome ps4?  or do I abonden my ps3 playthrough and just redo it on ps4?  

 

the agony....the conflicted emotions....its eating me up inside!!!! I can't take it!!!!!

This is just how I would do it but If I felt I really liked the character I'd made for a playthrough then I'd be loathe to restart until the present playthrough is done so I might try and hold off on the ps4 till I'd finished but that's just me.

Start a new character, different from your qunari run, on the PS4 and swap between them! I'm sure you'll get bored of the hinterlands and need a break.

That's a proper first world problem...

 

I say abandon PS3, and re-start with PS4. It'll probably feel like playing a new game, anyway...

possibly even more frivolous than 1st world problem.  Logistically though there is another motivation...I have to rent a zipcar to go to costco, so we only go like...once a month. and its all snowy and blizzardy here right now, so if I don't get it this weekend, it could be a month or more before I can again...

 

and the graphics, oh I can't wait for DECENT graphics!

 

 

I can't do multiple playthroughs at the same time.  I have to complete one character before I can do another, or abandon the play through and start it over later. I get my head into it too much, into the story.  I also can't read 2 novels at the same time either, I'm to invested in the story.

Oh. Well, that really sucks then. Hmm, maybe leave your current playthrough, start up a whole new character on the PS4 and then just come back to it after you've gotten the newness out of your system?

None of this will matter once you boot up the game on your PS4 and see the difference.

Zipcars are awesome.  I pay a small monthly fee ($6) and then I can reserve a car whenever I need it for $8-$14 an hour depending on the kind of car.  I don't have to pay for gas, insurance, finance, repairs, etc.....I only pay for the monthly membership and the time I have the car for.  They have random locations all over the city, so really easy to go pick them up and go.

 

you aren't picked up and you do all the driving and everything, so not really a taxi/trolley service.  More like renting a car, but without as much hassle, no gas, and you pick up most anywhere..

 

None of this will matter once you boot up the game on your PS4 and see the difference.

I remember when I made my gaming rig after struggling to get DAO to run on low on a laptop. Suddenly seeing all the details on high/ultra/whatever it was at the time and at 1080p resolution... It was a revelation. I'm sure the PS3-PS4 jump will be similar.
