*Hands Monkey a plate. The tomato and chili sauce is home made and has a bit of a kick to it. But, it's not super spicy.

Welp Sera's murder knife fail moment was lulzy, before she smashed that guy's head in though. *Always pick the noble perk from then on out yikes!*

I'm sorry. I carelessly copied and pasted "lesbian players" from your first post that I quoted from. I didn't mean to put you on the spot or attempt to make you speak for an entire group.
I do really want to know how Sera or any future lesbian companion could be developed better (maybe 'differently' is more correct word) to please you? I lurk on the boards somewhat so I was familiar with the conversation that you referred to.
I know I'm already asking you for your time in writing a response, but if you'll humor me just a little further? I'd be better able to understand if you explained what you'd like to see and not what you saw and didn't like. ('Cause a lot of people are good at pointing out Sera's shortcomings and I naturally get defensive on Sera's behalf. Even though it's sometimes very hard to defend Sera.)
Sorry for the delay. To be honest, I think I would be much less harsh on Sera's character arc if only she wasn't the first lesbian LI, and technically 3rd lesbian character (not counting queer women who could possibly be bisexual) in DA universe, when the other 2 have been horrible. Then I simply would see her as somewhat bratty, somewhat lovable teenage kid with issues. Then her lack of maturity and understanding that she's hurting other people's feelings could be explained to some point by her age, she would still have time to grow up. Judging from the fact the Warden gave her a toy for little kids 10 years before, she could be even around 16.
I had that impression about her characterization before I found out in devs' descriptions from game files that this is basically how they see that character, since they emphasized twice how young she is, that she's passionate although selfish, hasn’t thought her beliefs through yet and has next to no self awareness.
But for me, there's huge problem here. If she's teenage kid who just has to take her time to grow up, why on earth can we have sex and romance with her? Because of that when I romanced her, to not feel like I'm taking advantage of her I had to treat her like any other adult who should feel responsible for what they're doing to other people.
Only now I'm convinced more than ever she was never written to be adult, which makes me feel really disappointed, because it shows terrible double standards in writing. Cole in many ways is the same, just way more polite and I would even say, actually more mature than Sera (listen to their banters), he's just more innocent to the ways of mankind that Sera. There were some people who wanted to romance him, which made the writers perplexed by the very idea since he's mentally immature.
But it wasn't a problem when it comes to the first lesbian-only romance, it's as if it wasn't taken so seriously as straight or gay male counterparts.
So, answering your question, I don't know how different Sera should be since the issues I have with her are deep in her very character arc. If she was more mature and empathetic, she would be largely different character. She can still grow up, but it would leave unfortunate questions why were we chasing her before that.
I have no specific preference for lesbian character, just wish she was treated the same as all the other characters, no double standards anymore, nor treating her again as the least important one. And most importantly, respect our sexuality. I wrote here quite a couple times before about damaging tropes and cliches about lesbians that the media are full of, and that making Traynor a fanservice for men was very disappointing to see since it played with those tropes, even if it wasn't as obnoxious yet (here is an example how lesbians and their sexuality are represented nowadays), and then I found out about similar thing happening in DAI, to Celene who has been confirmed to be gay woman.

Bah, she may have went the unnecessarily messy way, but the guy got what he was asking for. Which certainly is more than he bargained for, but such is life in Thedas.

Pick the noble option guy loses out more in the long run, Sera might learn something, things can be resolved without the need of violence. I just can't stand happily by and watch her kick a man to death, it's really disturbing.

Upside: The approval gain is identical both ways, too.

While it's clear she got caught up in the moment, her making it messy is also a great way to ensure that another shady does not try the same thing.

Well, yes. And when all is done, he will return and can continue doing what he did.
Or maybe he won't - it all depends what sort of man the jerk is.
We could argue for hours on the subject, and while violence is not the ideal solution in many cases, it was him who got many more people dead because of a god damn land squabble. And the other noble.
So, yes. It sucks. Noble option may be better, or it may not be. It all depends on what he'd do, and how he'd behave when Corypheus is defeated, and he's released from Inquisition's service. Also, whether or not your Inky would let him go.

ALWAYS, there will be someone thinking "Bah, that can't happen to ME" - ALWAYS. EVERY SINGLE TIME.
Clean kills are the only kills I may approve of under circumstances. Going messy is wrong.
At the end of the day, I do not approve of the method used, but I approve of the outcome.

Also she gets to smirk in his face, which is better than kicking his head in IMO.

wayment...how old do y'all think Sera IS?
Late teens early 20's. Some where around 18 at the youngest and 26 at the oldest.
Early twenties I think, if she was a kid during the blight...wayment...how old do y'all think Sera IS?
