sports aside from boxin bore me

Boxing, rugby, sumo and strong style wrestling are the only sports that can hold my interest. Everything else puts me to sleep with golf being the worst.

I like equestrian sports myself. Dressage is a delight to watch when the horse is obviously enjoying itself.

Check out this video and pay attention when the music picks up. The horse is totally rocking out to the music. It's awesome.

Oddly enough I don't like rugby but I'd quite happily watch an NFL game, me thinks growing up around my brother who is a big Giants fan did this to me. xD

Anyway I was quite happy to watch Liverpool dust off West Ham this weekend. ;) Ok, ok, really heading out this time!

Bah. It still doesn't beat being within touching distance of a horse.

I remember my first time, a few years back. I guided a horse, but didn't ride it. They're beautiful creatures, and very powerful.

Massive experience, that...

I just had to be firm, but not abusive on the leash. More of a... "hey, come this way" than "The Qun demands you come this way, or else!"

Yes. Firm, not leaving space for the horse to do what it wanted (not that it wanted to walk wherever you didn't want - the boy was quite nice) but do not abuse it, no sudden pulls on the leash, when you wanted to signal for the horse to start moving, just a... gentle pull on the leash. That was it. It just went.

I used to do horseback riding in my younger days. I remember I didn't like getting paired with a different horse every week (that school was... weird) because it didn't give me chance to focus on riding as opposed to the horse's quirks.

So I started asking for the horse that nobody wanted to ride because he was so difficult. He would not obey instructions, didn't like the other horses and was generally a pain. As a result, he didn't get enough exercise.

So my request was granted, although at one point they tried to refuse and my parents pointed out they could take their business elsewhere, so I was able to ride Apollo every week.

Over time, we really became a team and my best memories from horseback riding are with him. The instructors were surprised at how well we worked together. It turns out that Apollo didn't like having a bunch of different riders either. I think that, over time, he came to see me as a friend too. He stopped trying to bite me when I put on his saddle at least.

Do you have anything to subtract?

All the spoilers, if I could ;)

I've tried to enjoy American football, but not having being raised in that culture, I don't get it. I understand that the game is very tactical in nature, but as I find its stop-start nature to be very tedious, I've never had the inclination to really try and learn its intricacies. Added to that, the idea of having different teams for attack and defence is just weird to me. If we're talking football with an egg-shaped ball I prefer rugby of either code.

Don't think of Handegg as being like a regular team sport, with a group of athletes who train together so they can work together tactically.  Think of it like a game of chess where you can swap out your players like interchangeable minions at a moment's notice to get the tiniest advantage at that moment, and where all a player needs to be able to do is their one thing, and that one thing only, with no thought, tactics or teamplay beyond that.  Then you'll be fine.

Awesome!

As much as I love boxing, there are a lot of boring fighters (looking at you Mayweather).

Still, fighting and rugby league are about the only sports I watch.

I have nothing against equestrianism but I find it tough to define as a sport. The presence of another live being makes it more a cross between sport and animal training, in my mind. Dressage even adds elements of dance, which strays into the realms of artistic interpretation. Not that it doesn't take a huge amount of skill and dedication to achieve a level of performance like that seen in Cat's vid.

I do actually like many sports, but my favourites are football (with a round ball that the players use feet to kick for the majority of the time) and cycling. I was in heaven when the Tour de France started in Yorkshire last year, especially as a stage actually started in my home town, and passed about 100m from our apartment... I followed it with my camera for the first six days as it went through London and to my Auntie and Uncle's place in Lille, next.

I know it's had more than its fair share of drug scandals, but I can't seem to stop loving the sport. Just to complete the Tour de France requires a staggering level of fitness and dedication, drugged or no.

*beats Corypheus, only for the game to crash seconds into the ending cut scene and will have to fight him again. Deintalls DA:I

I'll hang out on the forums, but I'm done with DA:I at this point. It's not worth replaying the same content over and over because of a crash that should have been fixed months ago.

I think I'd enjoy the Tour de France more if it didn't have any cycling. It was just a helicopter flying over French roads with commentary and French people lining up to do quirky French things by the side of the road.

Having a bird of prey sitting on your arm is kind of amazing.

So, City Elf, or Dalish Elf...?

City.

Awkward opening aside, it's the origin that grounds your character with a place they can actually return to and be welcome. I find the idea of setting out from the alienage as a young adult and then returning a year later as effectively a veteran and being able to sort of show how much your character has changed (or not) really compelling.

Now that is a sport I can get enthusiastic about, if my ovaries don't burst from the cuteness overload.

Nah. I'm kind of hoping Anthony Hopkins takes Drunk Alistair under his wing and trains him to become Zorro.

I did, just with Loghain. Otherwise, Alistair gets to be a hero and slays the Archdemon. It kinda depends on the warden I'm playing.
