Look at me, passing two exams. Whole lotta ****** good that's gonna do me this late.
that bad?
that bad?
Kinda late. The exam period is ending on Friday. I only have one more exam to do.
Well, two, but I sacrifice the other, because the ONE is THE one that is a make or break.
Kinda let loose and sang a little bit. As crap as I am, I love singing.
Woo! I feel alive!
What do you guys think of my info graphic so far? Any feedback would be great - good or bad. ![]()

I can't judge the precision of historical data (ask Eirene - I can't do sh*t outside of 1940's, turns out) but graphically, it looks good.

Thank you. I'm just taking the data from a website I found (will have to wait until I get home to post it) but I'm not really fussed about precise accuracy. So long as it makes sense, is legible and looks good, I'm fine with it.
Quite the opposite, you should be very, very careful about accurate information. If bad information is passed, the entire work might as well not exist!

I agree. I would caution against Wikipedia as many profs won't accept it. You can easily check your facts against a reputable site. My own university has Encyclopedia Britannica as a database our library offers. Since you're merely doing an outline a source like this might be more useful. I note, with a quick search, that there is an article on Alexius Comnenus (or Komnenos) and the crusade there. Try that out. Just to check your facts. If you use one of your university's databases you should be alright with your prof. At least you'd have some ground to stand on.
*That's Brittania Academic as opposed to the more general layman version.
Yeah. Look out. Many professors won't stand for "years of knowledge and experience gathered throughout life" either.
I swear to f***ing God, HOW am I supposed to remember EVERY book, EVERY article and EVERY sentence about missile weapons I have ever read...?
AND I have fired a bow before. Not many times, granted. But I BLOODY HAVE.
Personal experience = nothing...

Just remember: Peer reviewed, peer reviewed, and last but not least...peer reviewed scholarly citations only. ![]()

Peer reviewed...?
I do not give a damn crap about things, if I have PERSONAL experience with the subject, holy heck, the guy will ACCEPT that he is not God Almighty, and that I may happen to know more off the top of my head than he ever did!

Could be worse. Try having a jack ass instructor tell you to pull a sink off a wall and replace it perfectly your first day in trade with him breathing down your neck and calling you stupid the entire time because "you are doing it wrong." Only to have him pull down the sink when you finally get because his measurements where wrong so you have to redo it for the 4th time and redo his measurements to ensure the new sink is at the proper height. That kind of crap was my day to day for three years.
Peer reviewed...?

If you can't demonstrate the provenance of your information, how can anyone else have any clue as to its accuracy? You could just be making it up, or you could be regurgitating inaccuracies from something that someone else has just made up. Citations are key to academic integrity. It's not about the whims of any one lecturer you may have at university, it's about producing academically rigorous work that can be checked.
"I know it because I have personal experience" isn't going to hold water at any academic institution worth its salt. That's not how we build up a reliable knowledge base, because anyone could say that when actually they have no clue.
Peer review is one of the cornerstones of modern academia. Have you really not heard of it?

Yeah, I know that. If I was actually getting graded on the accuracy of the information, I would put my all into fact checking everything but because I'm not getting graded on that, nor am I doing a history course, accuracy is not the focal point to this. I need to present an info graphic that shows information in a legible way. If I really wanted to, I could bullish*t the entire thing. I could say the Crusade happened in Alaska or something. ![]()
Of course, I want the information to have some truth to it because it is in fact a subject I would like to know more about.
This is the site I'm using.
http://www.lordsandl...rst-crusade.htm
Now, the information looks on point, but there is no way for me to fact check it because two reasons. 1) I'm running out of time - it has to be in on the 9th. That's 6 days from now and 2) Trying to find digestible information on this topic is bloody difficult.

Con artists are pretty good at making sure people don't ask too many questions. They bank on the assumption of honesty and fear of appearing stupid/ignorant to trick people.
Question everything! Especially if it's written down!

Also, they like to use big sciencey sounding words: "The ions in this product have been imbued at a quantum level with natural resonant frequencies, providing you with protection from harmful electromagnetic radiation."
"Great! Now where's the stack of peer-reviewed and independently replicated evidence to back up your claims?"
Imbued at a quantum level with natural resonant frequencies, providing you with protection from harmful electromagnetic radiation."
She woke up wondering if she had ever been imbued at a quantum level. Could harmful electromagnetic radiation be speaking to her right now?

Jokes... it was cannibalised by my brothers.
That is true. We went on holiday for a week. We bought one of those blocks of fish food that can just sit in the water. We come back, and my fish is dead. A husk is all that remained and my brothers fish was just nibbling away at it... that was, kind off shocking, I must say.
