My throat is really inflamed and it feels like my brain is trying to escape everytime I sneeze. And I have a fever.

Poor you! I used to try a method of using a hot wash cloth against my forehead (or a hot water bottle if you can stand). Oddly enough it make the feverishness better or seemed to. Just keep resting. Hope you're not stuck at work again today too?!

Coat your throat in warm honey and gargle warm salty water.
I use to be a death metal vocalist and screwed my throat and voice a couple of times when I was starting out. Those two things help a lot. An ice pack around the back of your neck can help as well.

That is so cool! I used to be a classical singer. So used to getting strep and having to sing a concert. I'm just being a big baby about it
only difference is my mom is a bit lighter and lacking the english accent, and bigger...Wow... I mean... If your mum looks like her, that's one thing, but if she acts like her I feel truly sorry for you.

Also, it's some weird spiritual stuff I do not quite understand, but deciding, and errr... "sending it high" supposedly works. Don't ask me. I don't know how, I don't know why, but from my personal experience, it just somehow DOES. That scares me the most, because if I think so, and it doesn't, it means I've lost my mind.
