Kushiel's Dart doesn't have dragons, people who can toss fireballs, ashes that can cure any illness, heroes who cut through hordes of enemies with ease, potions that immediately heal injuries, dwarves or elves, or giant holes in the sky where demons pour out.
It does have lots of bisexuals.
Are we really going to call Thedas the more realistic setting?
Do you want playersexual companions?

Also, it makes the romances more dull and have less content.
Less content wut....
Not gonna argue on the dull part since that's personal preference, but seriously, how do they have less content?

If all the companions, and everyone else in the setting, were bisexual, I'd be fine with it. It isn't a matter of wanting or not wanting, it's a matter of not caring one way or the other.

Do you want playersexual companions?
That's what I viewed the DA2 companions as, rather than bisexual. Sure, some of them certainly were bisexual but with others, their sexuality seemed to be altered depending on Hawke's gender and sexuality. Whether it's a good or bad thing that the setting seemed to be bent and shaped around the player's whim, that's up to you.

I'm not going to argue with you KC this is a battle I have fought too many times on this forum....
wtfbbq? That's a new one, explain pls, humor me.
I'm not trying to battle I'm just try to argue my thoughts on why playersexual companions are bad. Also, I shouldn't say less content but less Unique content.
PS Nice avatar.

I disagree that there's less unique content. Restricted content doesn't make it unique just restricted, that's how I see it.
Also TY it's just for today going back to my usual tomorrow.

Nope.
Double points if people use "playersexual" to describe characters who don't make their interest in both genders painfully obvious in all playthroughs, but find bisexual characters who constantly announce it like Isabela and Zevran "realistic." Because bisexuality = flirty and promiscuous, right? More reserved, shy, don't generally talk about their preferences, etc. must be interested in only one gender, and said gender completely dependent on what the player character's is in that playthrough.

Ugh, yeah. As a openly bisexual women it really bothers me that so many people think i need to flirt & sleep with lots of people of different genders to be "realistically bisexual" like its some kind of rule but if im shy or virginal it must mean im straight

I don't think it's intended in an offensive way. Some characters just seemed like they were designed to fall for Hawke because Hawke is Hawke, rather than gender being involved at all.
Nope.

Um, I'd personally call them bisexual because they're open about being bisexual. With characters that are more reserved, it's difficult to determine whether they are bisexual or whether they're simply drawn to the player character regardless of gender.
But if it is considered offensive, I'll try and avoid using that sort of language in the future, sorry.

I only find it offensive when it is used in the manner of erasing bisexuals and bisexuality. Ex: "All the LIs in DA2 are playersexual, they're not realistic." It is also tiresome seeing "Isabela is the only real bisexual because she speaks about sleeping with both men and women."
Straight Dude Shepard has, what, 7 LI options (if including Kelly and Diana), no matter how Paragon or Renegade you get, or how you deal with plots that don't kill them off, they will always be attracted to Dude Shepard. Yet that is more "realistic" and not at all "playersexual." Majority of the time, it is only when it is bisexual companions that this complaint gets brought up.
If one is using "playersexual" as a blanket term, speaking of the issue how -- regardless of sexuality and gender -- the LIs are always attracted to the PC, and will romance them so long as they don't tell them "I hate you" every dialogue conversation and click their flirt options all the time, then it isn't a problem for me. Because there is merit in that complaint (when it isn't just a bisexuals-only illustration).

To be fair, I think it's because no one has any personal experience with dragons, giant green holes in the sky and such, but everyone has some experience of interacting with people of various sexual orientations, and that personal experience will typically involve knowing many more straight people than bisexual people (if just because of what typical percentages of each seem to be in population)Please don't call fictional characters being bisexual in a FANTASY game silly or unrealistic. It's a bit unsettling, insulting, and silly. There's dragons, giant green holes in the sky, and people who wear live song birds in their hair, but oh no bisexuals, that's just too much!
So, ironically, something like this can feel "weirder" than purely made up elements which don't trigger the "wait, I know this and it's not like that" reaction. And so cause more objections.

Yep; the reason why i always roll my eyes when they bring the ME romance system and call it 'better'. If it's not harem, then it's 'unrealistic'.

Lulz
But seriously if they brought this idea into the DA world it would be uber fan service, but thankfully they never will. Let Bioware pick who is straight/bi/gay whatever. I'd much prefer this reality, thankfully Bioware does too.

If anything, I think this is closer to ME. ME1 that is. I feel almost as limited.
I liked DA2. I wish I'd told them that when I had the chance. Too late now. Considering the feedback they get, they probably think that the game was terrible in general.

Indeed.
Though, i can't lie. I liked DA2. Apart from the similar places, it had awesome characters and the banter was gold.
And sassyMarian Hawke was so hot and the main reason why I enjoyed the game. The game gets only painful if you play a good/bad Hawke.

Yeah, I'd say the characters were the game's sole strength. Most other aspects were either half-baked or simply non-existent.
I'm glad that's changing with DA:I.

Apparently speculatory isn't a real word. CHROME YOU ARE WRONG. RRRRR.

Doonnn't get me started on this. It's so hard to admit to people because they start to look at me differently, as if I am promiscuous all of a sudden and I will hit on them.

People seem to treat 'I am attracted to your gender' as 'I am attracted to you specifically and want to drag you off somewhere private right now.'
