He can be poisoned, but his body will heal any damage that poison does before it does any real harm.

Gah. ..He is so cool! One of my favourites, actually.

Magneto drives me up the bloody wall. Like seriously man, I've seen what you can do with 3 ball bearings, could you not think of anything less destructive than destroying the Golden Gate bridge?

Wolverine has always been one of my favourites.
Sadly his solo movies really, really suck.

Possibly why I haven't seen any of them yet :P

Should I watch them just for the sake of completing the series?

Yes he is, and he's a great actor. But Magneto's actions still irritate me, lol.

Up to you. You don't have to watch Origins, at all. It has no connection to any of the other films. It is the worst of the series by far. Not bad for a watch but sticking to the overall flow of the series, it's dead weight.

I think the order of films is:

Origins: Wolverine

X1

X2

X3

The Wolverine

Days of Future Past

First Class can go in anywhere before Days of Future Past because it doesn't connect to any of the other movies.

And okay, Storm is really nice and cool and all, but the way her eyes go... it just freaks me right the **** out.

See, when I was watching him do all of his magic tricks, the only thing I had to say was "You are slowly crawling up the Awesome Ladder." Dude destroys the world with style.  :P

I think I want to see it, because the science behind Wolverine's skeleton fascinates me.

Wouldn't First Class go before X1 because it's like Mystique's and Beast's origin stories?

But I don't want him to destroy the world. The way he deals with humans is just so... He's smarter than that! Argh.

Okay, can someone please explain to me how Jean can explode people into pixel sized bits? She's telekinetic, when did that include reducing people to ash?

You could say that but it doesn't connect with any of the other films besides Days of Future Past so you can watch it at any point and still have an immersive experience.

That's true, it was the first one I ever watched, actually got me interested in the series!

She is the epitome of power.

She has telekinetic and psychic powers. In X2, when she saves them all, like in the comics (slightly different circumstance - radiation, not water) her full power is realised. The blocks, the barriers that Charles put on her mind become broken. When she turns Charles into Ash, she is using both her Telekinetic and Psychic powers to do it. Psychic to get into his mind and body and Telekinetic to pull it apart.

...I'm not sure that makes much logical sense to me, but I'll go with it.

Definitely not the best movie, although I really liked the first half.

It's magic powers, it doesn't have to make sense.  :P

It does so! It has to follow a certain set of logic and rules bound to the world that it's set in.

And it drives me crazy when there isn't a world up-held logical explanation for certain powers.

Okay. Telekinetic allows her to move matter with her mind. Her Psychic powers allow her access into others minds. When she used both against Charles, she literally froze any possibility of restraint from him, despite how powerful he is. He cannot fight his body being ripped apart. His DNA was pulled apart.

I'm not really sure how logical I can make it sound...

Started watching X-men Origin... Question. If Logan's name is Jimmy then why does everyone other than Victor call him Logan?

It's all good, my problem wasn't so much with your explanation but with the film's lack of explanation.

I just never thought someone being ripped apart telepathically would look like a little black pixel explosion. So my problem may also be with the film's special effect choices.

I think I was expecting more gore. Or at least that it would be a white spray instead of black squares.

Actually, what I think I was expecting is similar to how it looked when Magneto pulled the iron out of the guard's body. That red spray was perfect.
