It doesn't make me uncomfortable, but I'm glad that I live in a country where no one has the right to bear arms, and the only police who carry guns are specially trained response teams. I truly can't get my head around the idea that a massively increased risk of me getting into a deadly firefight is supposed to make me feel safer, just because I have the right to "protect" myself. It's one area where our countries just don't have the same outlook at all...

I think that the Hale being better than Meer thing, while true, is a bit overstated by some. That said, I consider my canon Shepard to be my FemShep who romanced Liara.

I'd agree with you for the most part. Although Canadians have the right to bear arms ours are way more legislated and we have way fewer incidences of major gun violence.

Only in ME1. Meer gets better in ME2 and is fine in ME3. Not that you'd know.
Edit: But like I said, I do prefer Hale.
