'Cos, gawd dayumn, firearms are not enough. Minefields are adequate protection. Bouncing Betties, doubled with Claymores.

They're not even going to think about robbing someone the second time if the first time lost them an arm or a leg. That is, if they're lucky.

 

And that's another problem with playing Mass Effect again - how do I resist Liara?  It's just  not at  all  possible.

Hrm, so apparently pressing print screen in Mass Effect doesn't take screenshots like it does in DA:I. I'll have to fiddle tomorrow night to get you guys some pictures of Esri.

 

She may look like a Disney Princess (what else did you expect from Dazzle? ) But she's not soft or sweet. She's a sole surviver and she moved around constantly as a kid, so she doesn't really know how to relate to people and expects them to shrug things off like she does. She's not intentionally cruel, but she does sometimes say some harsh things.

 

Man the game has a steep learning curve though! I'm no kb+m player!

 

In the first game, play Adept. Adepts are so power-heavy you may end up not using a pistol at all.

 

Also, if you do, good amount of Lift, Throw, Pull and Singularity turns the game into a shooting range.

 

Only if Adepts were so OP in 2 and 3... I hate Biotics in those. Tech much better.

Meh. My canon FemShep is an adept and she got on just fine in all three.

 

I do agree with dazzle about the steep learning curve, and I am a KB+M player to the core. I actually stopped playing on Eden Prime the first time I tried to play and went back to do another Origins playthrough. The second time I stuck with it and after a while it does come naturally. My advice to you, dazzle, is that the pause button is your friend. Stop and think what you're going to do. Learn to look for and use cover yourself and how to send your squadmates to cover. Also learn to use their powers to supplement yours. Those are the key things for me in ME.

For me it was my first cover shooter, my first third person and my first shooter with a squad. I was used to standard FPS shooter mechanics, which I'd been playing since the mid-90s, and I had to adapt my playstyle quite a bit. Nowadays I don't like going back to play first person...

I don't mind the POV I have in a game. ME is fine with third person-ness, and so are many other games.
