That's the other thing... I think that after Goscinny died, the English versions actually became superior, as the translators wrote better jokes! :D

Goscinny was a true word smith and wickedly clever. No offense to Uderzo, but it's like a 'book of useful phrases for tourists' stepping in for 'Le Grand Robert' and 'Le Petit Robert' together (an encyclopedia and a dictionary, respectively.)

The comparison hurts. Sill, the translators still have to contend with the basic plot.

and Mathuuuurine

Bien sûr!

Mathurine: Il est tout ce qu'il y a de plus frais ce poisson! Pêché lundi le 9! (that fish is as fresh as can be! Caught on Monday the 9th!)

Raoul (the cat): Oui, mais on est le vendredi 13! (Yes, but it's Friday the 13th!)

Mathurine: *holds blunderbuss to Raoul's head* Superstition ridicule! (Ridiculous superstition!)

Bunch of maniacs. :D

Yeah, nothing that they could do about the plots, but at least they are still funny! :D

Goscinny was also the one behind the first few Lucky Luke books. The latest books have been so bad.

Really? Didn't know that. I'm still sad that I got burned out after 5, I never thought I'd get bored of the game. :(

Because I did basically everything in my first play through. I can't bring myself to go through it all again, just to see the bits I never had the opportunity to see in the first place. I just wish I had done the Sera romance first.

I haven't read a Lucky Luke book in a long while, but I did love the Daltons...

So don't do a completionist run in the second game. You can skip whole maps. I mean, I rarely go back to the Hinterlands after I get my first 4 power. Just do the content you like.

But I am a completionist. I have to do everything. Every Mass Effect (1, 2 and 3) play through I have done has been a completionist play through. Same goes for DA:O and DA:2.

You can't just tell yourself to ignore the shards and the puzzles? Ignore the dragons?

It happens even with the best games. I got bored with it too. They went in a direction I just didn't care for. (why oh why are there platforming puzzles in this game?)

Nope. No matter how hard I try, it just doesn't work.

This is how I did almost five playthroughs, except I've never done a completionist run   I was still seeing new things, and hearing new dialog, my fourth time through. That was fun :)

As soon as I catch up on The 100, though, I'm hoping to finish Origins for the first time. Stupid Deep Roads.

I'm a completionist too and it's incredibly hard to ignore those things. They are there, taunting us with their presence and incompleteness... I'm still missing two achievements from DAO (Darkspawn Chronicles) and it rankles like mad!
