Yeah, me too.

I just hope that I get to fight nazi's and shot monsters like Indiana Jones and Laura Croft while I do it.

Truly the great archaeologists of their times.

for me its just adventure. Seeing ancient markings, deciphering text on the wall... discovering a pathogen that somewho survived centuries/decades. It just seems so romantic to me

When I was at Ephesos over the summer, I spent ages taking pictures of all the inscriptions along the main road so I could go to Baby's First Koine Translation Dictionary and figure out what they were saying.

Then I found a site that listed all of the epigraphical finds at the site and translated them and was like welp. Not that I thought that nobody had done that before - I knew that they had - but to see it all in one accessible location was a little bit of a letdown.

Archaeologists have been doing this for awhile. :P

Oh, I'm lucky. I have cousins that live there. So I even got to skip the tourist stuff, like how the Turkish government makes all tours stop off at one of the country's Ancient and Historic Industries so that the carpet sellers and coffee makers can sell them things.

And yeah, Tomb Raider is awesome.

Turkish carpets are lovely! But the poor tourists aren't there to make a 2500-lira purchase, they're there to see some ancient stuff.

Usually the carpet manufacturer provides lunch, though. So that's nice.

It varies a lot. Sometimes the factory tries to accommodate typical Western tastes and will emphasize breads and lunch meats and whatnot. Sometimes they go all out with lamb and some nice soups. Usually it's something in between; exotic enough to be memorable and fun, but not so exotic that the Americans' picky kids won't eat it.

Imgur is a good public free image host.

Dropbox allows you to place files in a publically viewable folder, and you can get the image's URL from that and put it between tags here on the forums to make it visible. Should work.

Thanks Eirene! I am getting a broken image indicator when I try and use the dropbox url. Not sure what's up with that. I'll try out Imgur when I get a chance as photobucket is not cutting it!

I always use imageshack: https://imageshack.com/

I have or had an imageshack account but they require you to pay now and that's no good for me.

I must confess, I have not used imageshack in ages. It's sad that they are no longer free. Might have to find my old account and reupload my stuff elsewhere.

So, this is Esri. Granted she's not my best work, in comparison to CCs like DA:I, but she's pretty enough to get me through the game.

Lol, well thank you! And I'm glad that she actually has long hair! Sure it's thrown up into a bun, but that volume suggests at least shoulder length hair if not longer.

Have you decided what kind of personality she will have?

Mhm. She's a sole surviver and her parents moved her around a lot as a kid, so she doesn't really relate well to people or understand why they can't shrug things off like she does. She's not intentionally cruel, but often says harsh things without realizing how harsh they are. Something like... "Soldier's die. Get used to it."

She doesn't always take the renegade option, but she's not going to be sweet just to get brownie points.

That is so exciting! I just want to finish ME1 and get on to 2, lol. Excited for pretty graphics and comprehensive CCs.

My kind of character. If I play ME 1 & 2 again at some point, it will be time for my complete a-hole run. ****** off as many people as you can and go full on renegade. Those playthoughs are always fun.

She feels... right. I was nervous at first, but the CC profile actually really helped me flesh her out.

Those are fun for later on playthroughs, it's difficult for a first runthrough.
