I think monkey is confusing an elliptical trainer with an exercise bike. Similar but not the same thing.

they arent?

I like them. Though I do have a bad habit of jumping one, programming it so that it's like climbing a very steep/long hill and setting the timer for at least 45 min.

I have damaged knees, so it helps train the muscles around my kneecap but is a gentle enough workout to not cause more damage.

Nope an elliptical is akin to cross country skiing mixed with jogging

No, this is a jogging machine. Like a treadmill, but you move in a circular motion.

Less harsh on your joints because your feet stay in one position, so there's no shock impact up your leg.

Ow? What happened?

I suspect my knees also hate me, but I have no trouble moving around... Then again, me, I'm unimportant.

I like tracking my heartbeat and calories. If I go running with the dogs it's good exercise and fresh air, but I've no idea what I accomplished.

No. As Kasumi said, you sit on an exercise bike, and also the handle bar doesn't move. On an elliptical trainer the handles and pedal things both move and you are standing up.

Chondromalacia and patellar tracking disorder.

In 9th grade we had to do hurdles in gym class. I cleared the hurdle, but landed 90 degrees on both my knee caps, causing them to slip. Now the muscles around my knees have tobe strong enough to keep the cap in place otherwise it digs and grinds. Very painful.

Get a GPS fitness app for your phone. If you enter your age, height and weight, it will track your movements and figure out the calories that you've burned.

From what people have said here, her experience is far from unique. It looks like their decision to release on 360 and PS3 was a bad one. I wonder if developing for last gen might also have played into their decision to drop some of the ideas that they showcased in the 2013 E3 demo...

I'm not sure if I agree that the decision to release the game on old consoles was bad: had they not done that I wouldn't have played the game at all, and like me many others.
They also said time and time again before release that the version for older consoles wouldn't have had the same level of graphic detail or background npcs like the version for newer consoles and for pc, so it's not like they didn't warn us beforehand.

True enough. I have My Fitness Pal which is good enough, but I just really like the ellyptical. It feels good afterwards, and I'm not sore.

She made the movie that little more enjoyable to watch for me, but then, I do have a little crush on her.

Possibly. I understand there was a pretty solid rumour about Sony and Marvel in talks of doing that.

Meh. I'm fine most days. It's actually incentive to do more exercise.

Well if you need to protect your knee then it's certainly a good option. I was just referring to tracking your dog-walking calories.

Admittedly, I haven't kept up to date on that info. Has it officially been confirmed by either Marvel or Sony?

Yeah, it does work as an alternative, for sure. It's how I track my skating.

Ow, f*ck me.

That has to hurt.

Yeah... Pretty nasty.

Well, uh, you can still keep healthy, right. At least as healthy as possible, with that.
