I thought we established blood magic as being "hot"? Is that not another reason to love Merrill?
I thought we established Morrigan and Merrill as the only two "hot" Blood Mages in the series...?
Meh. Frankly she bores me. All the DA2 companions do. I miss my team from Origins.

i love merril she really complimented my SH hawke both combat and personality but like her rivalmance betterI like Merrill. Her character was relatable on a few levels and of course I have a thing for Elf's. But, it felt really odd romancing her. Probably will never do that again.

1-they changed her Look , and while I be the 1st to preach Look arent everything...wich is True . It become a problemo when a Look is changed!! she was fine in DAO and they changed her...with no reason! beside that....new engine .
2- changed her personality...and that was the Fatality ! no way ...
3- She is naive....she is also arrogant and stubborn . I dont condamn her for using Blood Magic...but I do..when ya foolishly wont listen to reason and cost OThers peoples lifes....
4-she fall in with other dalish mentality...wich so far have been a turn off for me . The whole 'let restore our past , while our present die in the process'....

I liked Aveline and Varric a lot, but none of the romances really grabbed me. I thought that Isabela was the best, but she was no Morrigan or Leliana...

I don't recall seeing anything that says that the dark ritual is blood magic, but yes I do recall that conversation. Calling her a blood mage based on that is very tenuous, though...
like i said technicality if one picks at it alot. Personally i see nothing wrong with BM on its own just what you do with it... like all magic.
