I adore eating people.

So magically ripping the blood from their corpses doesn't count?
I like the idea too, truth be told; it opens up a lot of interesting scene possibilities for combat. Especially if Devour is a spontaneously manifested power at first, and Hawke doesn't realize it's happening the first time until having actually bitten someone's throat out.
No spell casting could be half as pleasurable as sinking your teeth into someone's flesh and biting down.
It's just not the same.
I don't know, bending the fabric of reality with your mind to siphon blood out of their body and into your own sounds pretty cool to me.

Teleporting a rib-eye is pretty cool. It's not the same as eating a rib-eye.
It's not a matter of whether one thing is cool or not. It's that casting spells is obviously a very different experience than tearing out the still-beating heart of your enemy and feasting upon it.

How did we start talking about this, again? ![]()

I know, I just don't know that it'd be a lesser experience. Though I confess, you've made it sound good.

Asking how Sera would feel about reavers.
She loves reavers.
I don't think Sera would be a fan of blood magic or eating people.

I don't think most commoners are fans of magic in general.

Nope, they aren't.
Reavers?

What's not to love?
She loves reavers.
I wondered if Sera would respond to the PC being a Reaver.
And if so, how?
By making dirty jokes.
By making dirty jokes.
I could definitely get behind that.
Jlb, I know you just said this to make me feel good but... I could hug you right now.
I'm fairly sure that she'd react better than Cassandra.

Aw, well I'm just trying to lift spirits around here I guess ![]()
Reavers?
What's not to love?
Here eyes are red and remind me of a...heart.
Maybe they can become heart shaped with prolonged Reavering.

I almost want to make a stupid reference to The Shining but I'm not going there.
It wouldn't surprise me if Sera wasn't a fan of magic to begin with. I doubt she's anti-mage, though.

I think it would depend on how the magic is used. Healing the helpless is probably something she would approve off and maybe using it to defeat "bad people" since "bad things should happen to them".
But she probably has limits and I doubt blood magic is something she likes, no matter who its used on.

Well, the only thing we know about her is that she's a Friend of Red Jenny and um, so far we've seen nothing of them besides quests for killing bandits and stealing from a First Enchanter. It does look like they're a more benevolent organisation than an evil one though, so cannibalism and typically-seen-as-evil blood magic are probably 'no's.
That leaves... Josephine. She's probably not wild about it either.

Don't worry; I greatly doubt that specializations will gate off LIs.
I kind of want my first character to be a Dalish Reaver now.
