*tackles and forces brocoli down throat* EAT IT EAT IT XD
Tsk Tsk..what a brat..can ya believe this? he run away in a horror fashion for brocoli..but is gladly and happily shoving potatoe in his mouth on a daily basis....go figure...
I think its more that the Dalish have got it wrong, but with the right dialogue options, they are still shown in a good light for at least trying to learn their history and reclaim their culture.
You can even get Solas to like them, forgoing his bitter comments and saying at least they are trying, agreeing it could be worse.
But really I think this game is saying there is a lot more to the old gods than people thought, that they all got it wrong. Whether its the Maker, Tevinter Gods, or Dalish Gods.....they are all missing some history that happened that we may be unraveling in the next game.
*tackles and forces brocoli down throat* EAT IT EAT IT XD

Oh yusss.
Come on, go ahead and tell me BioWare don't give a crap and are in it for the money.
COME AT ME BRUH.
(Let's see if I eat my words in a few months...)
a cat that eat others cat ? ewwwwwwwwwwwwww gross...
This IS Cat you're talking with...
Let's just say that 'cat' and a certain part of female anatomy share a word in English... Starts with a *p*.
Yup. Told ya, Alex. This is Cat.
You know, I got the word on my english grammar test, and I was like "Hmm, if multiple meanings, list all, and their pronunciations...? No. I CAN'T list that...!"
For me, my Lavellan knew all the Dalish lore so she didn't feel need to talk to anyone else. She was specifically searching out other perspectives. That's why she'd been excited to attend the conclave in the first place, so I didn't miss that at all. Seriously the game felt like it was made with my Lavellan in mind. I do see where you're coming from though, and I agree with Wintery that some conversations with the clan in the Exalted Plains could have been cool. Maybe with that elf who you can recruit as an agent... Also I have to agree with Cat about the Lavellan war table mission. They shouldn't have included something so personal if they knew the game mechanics would ignore it outside of the war table environment.Right but my point is not anti-Sera or that a Lavellan player should be any specific way, but that there's a lack of Dalish perspective to bounce around with.
For your Mage that ended up pissed off, don't you think it would be interesting to have someone who was raised in the Dalish faith to talk about that with? If not only to hear that perspective, because PCs besides Lavellan really could use that, but so you could better define how your Lavellan felt and have them able to express that religious conflict for themselves, not for someone else? And not in replacement of Sera, but to supplement that arc. Because it's all about the Dalish faith and yet there isn't really a chance for the Dalish to hash it out.
I mean if you got what you wanted out of that storyline, that's rad! But I do think it's lacking.
*runs away*
it isn't that bad. just drown the evil thing in cheese, then close your eyes and eat it

Um...can I say something ? and pwease dont eat me cose brocoli is just my name..Im not that green ?
seem to me..that..um..they are like trying to give...err..all dalish lover some kind of wake up harsh call...that the dalish arent that great ?
well I got that from ya last post and how many time ya used the word 'crap'
wich btw gave me a LOL pic in my mind .
haha, wOW i don't eat people. i'm not dalish.
nah but i don't get that because.....the dalish have never been portrayed as that great though. i have no desire to see them being portrayed as Proud and Good and Woobie Victims or whatever, but this game was so reductionist and heavy handed and i do care about narratives being genuine and interesting. i don't think any group of people, fictional or otherwise, are that great because people are complex and interesting and often assholes in groups, but even in origins they've always had their flaws pretty heavily featured so i don't understand why people (not talking about you here I'm thinking of other discussions I've seen) are acting like this game is "finally" showing them in the right light. i mean, it didn't even show them, it just sort of smacked them down without letting them react. i mean if the game had revealed that andraste was actually a blood mage and the maker was a demon, you can bet that the game would explore that with more depth and have npcs who are having conflicting reactions to it and it would be a big point for the andrastrian players, you know?
i just don't get why they didn't try making it a more nuanced and interesting story that's all. i mean even tevinter and par vollen get more in depth explorations of their cultures
And brocoli are made on Namek! EAT!
Must... escape...

Actually it get better , they are working also on a Story DLc : http://forum.bioware...us-some-extras/
