I was prepared to throw in the romance towel when Cass was announced as straight and still am if the other F/F romances don't work for me. I'll still play and enjoy the game, it just wont be the same.

Because she seems hilarious, like the kind of person you want to party with, but not necessarily the kind of person I'd want to date. Just my preference, I hope I'm wrong because the idea of romancing an adviser doesn't interest me compared to a companion (Sorry Scribbles.)

I mean if it's that big of a deal to you then she's clearly not going change for your sake, nor should she.

For Xilizhra apparently it is for RP reasons, which is valid for her, but it's not realistic to expect Sera to fundamentally change on something when you disagree.

The trouble is that it doesn't seem initially likely that anyone else would be more suitable, and I absolutely refuse to not romance anyone.

Ah yes well, it might end up being a bit of a long distance relationship. Although given the level of urbanisation involved, not that long. There's a lot to be said for living separately with regular visits, especially if it's not much of a commute.
