Just glanced at the "Patch 5 Beta Program" thread and saw the inevitable kind of comment you so often see about changing things in games: "I'm not a designer, but surely it wouldn't be too hard to just let us have a radial menu like the first two games!"

 

To me that comment reads "I'm not a designer, but since I know nothing about it I'll just make a random judgement on how easy something is!"

 

Like they have any idea at all about how difficult something like that might be to "just add it in".

As far as things people ask for developers to just add in go, radial menus aren't the hardest. It's the casual requests for multiplayer that make me laugh.

 

What I find interesting is how people never seem to consider that the developers might not want to use the idea, and that it would be detrimental to the game (arguably) for other reasons.
