Anyway... Artemis, Serza, Orchid, Sardaukar... Everyone, really. You all have your own perspectives and you've all said interesting things in the deeper conversations and made me smile in the sillier ones. Maybe you sometimes have to disappear for a while - life is like that - but in general  the more you post, the richer the thread is, so please keep posting when life lets you! :)

Not everyone disappears because of a day's suspension and a warning.

There's a reason I barely ever leave this thread. ;)

Apparently it's been getting really hot in my apartment as of late. I went to take my fish oil tabs and large number of them have melted together into a glob on the bottom of the jar. lol

It's always worth responding to the mega discussions, I think, if only because it can help you sort out your own opinions on the subject being discussed, and possibly open up other avenues of discussion as well.

Also, nothing seems to perk the thread up more than the return of a familiar, um, face.  Everyone is always welcomed back with open puns, gifs, and other virtual signs of appreciation, so no one truly unmissed or forgotten, only absent.

RPG Generator says:  "Sera and Islieth as medieval-fantasy RPG characters archetypes."

Meta!

And the amusing "Sera and Islieth wearing each other's clothes."

Fanfic! "Islieth and Sera get caught up in a storm and must stay sheltered together until it passes."

A definitely welcome side effect of Artemis's posts is the return of a familiar face... ;)

Speaking of which, did you ever make that Elf, Artemis, or are you still waiting for the right time to start your canon playthrough?

That is a serious head scratcher. WTH programming department isn't a trope yet, but it might become one thanks to DAI. :P

Indeed. ^^

Whelp it does, lots of people having troubles they didn't have before the various patches.

I haven't downloaded any patch because I'm scared about this happening.
Which also means I can't play, since you must be online to have the game record your Keep saves when you first create a character. Sigh. I'm sure that with time they'll fix everything, eventually.

I agree. Graphics are wonky? Eh, ok, I can live with that. Game stops working altogether? Hmm, no, this is not ok at all.

I think developers have a responsibility to make sure the game at least works and can be played at all times. If one person cannot play the game, then they have failed in their duty.

None of the people b*tching about DA:I's state NEVER EVER experienced ArmA's immediate post-release where some things barely work, the games are full of bugs, and sometimes the game refuses to work altogether.

ArmA III STILL (it's going to be two years since Alpha release, and about year and a half since Final release) doesn't match ArmA 2: Operation Arrowhead in some aspects. Yet towards the second half of the games' life, the series always tends to be very well playable.

I've never had any serious problems - or any minor ones - playing on PC.  I guess I'm just lucky.

(most of the problems I've had have been in MP, which I hardly do anyway)

If it's just one person, the fault might not be with the developer. ;) But I get what you mean. Many people were mad when they fixed the duplication glitch in single player, especially when there were other issues that should have had higher priority.

id suggest a bigger number than "1" maybe 20% of the consumer market is more resaonable before we get into responsiblity.

The original Unreal on PC received its final official patch two years after the release date; the newest community patch, based on the original source code, came out in 2012.  Now that was an infamously buggy-out-of-box game.

that post makes it seem like you're invalidating people's horrid experience with this game, Serza. and I'm side eyeing you if that is indeed true.
