If it's just one person, the fault might not be with the developer. ;) But I get what you mean. Many people were mad when they fixed the duplication glitch in single player, especially when there were other issues that should have had higher priority.

Many people were mad when they fixed that because "HEY I CAN'T CHEAT ANYMORE, BIOWARE SUCKS MAN"

Well, there is only one answer I can give them: Learn to play without your filthy bollocks.

no it is not. Dont get me wrong DAI fave game of 014 but the performance on last gen is rank and if i trade it in... i get 3 dollars back for a 70 dollar game

The game is great, but I hear you about the not-exactly-optimal performance on last gen; I still think that having it on last gen is better than not having it at all (if by last gen we're talking about older consoles, that is), though: many people wouldn't have had the chance to play it at all.

With DA:O and DA:2, after my 2 play through, I cleared my cache (which got rid of the patches) in order to use the cheats such as the infinite experience and gold.

Directx crash that frequently crash the game to desktop. Sli causing full screen fog and texture flickering. As well as system resource mismanagement issues. Are the issues that seem to be plaguing the pc release for what seems like a large group of players. I have experienced issues such as the directx crash, fog and resource mismanagement issues since day one. Sadly none of the patches and hot fixes have corrected the issues and when it comes to the directx crash, it's been way more frequent since the last patch.

I think developers have a responsibility to make sure the game at least works and can be played at all times. If one person cannot play the game, then they have failed in their duty.

Sure, developers do have that responsibility. But, negative changes in the gaming industry have made it acceptable for developers/publishers rush a game to release that isn't anywhere close to being finished or thoroughly bug tested. The real issue is the fact that so many gamer's are quick to call out publishers and developers on it. But, still turn right around and buy more games or dlc from the companies who are doing it.

I think it's more that DAI isn't unique in having serious problems for a  small number of players.  And it isn't that BioWare/EA are "teh evul" or lazy or any of that rubbish - it's that all modern games are really complicated and so quite sensitive to platform issues.

$3? That's all you get back? That's ridiculous!

that post makes it seem like you're invalidating people's horrid experience with this game, Serza. and I'm side eyeing you if that is indeed true.

Bah. It's horrible for them, but they haven't seen true horribleness until they've experienced ArmA's immediate post-launch.

I mean, III was sorta laggy at the playercount of thirty or forty players post-release. in 2OA, you could stick over a hundred people on the map, plus loads of AI.

III still can't match 2OA in the CoOp area. Not reliably, not on higher playercounts. And with higher, I'm talking seventy plus.

And then you have DA:I. No wonder all the issues in DA:I make me crack a smile...

The game's simply nowhere AS bugged to hell as I know it can be.

Uhm, not trying to be confrontational here, but...why do you care about how someone else plays in a single player game?
To put things in perspective: after having played DA:O extensively and 100%ed it, I started to use the gold glitch to make my life easier on later playthroughs, and I did the same in DA:I, does that mean I "didn't learn how to play"?

Even if I "didn't learn how to play" and just cheated my way through the first playthrough, it's not like I would have hurt anyone else's game: me having 1000000 gold coins does not have any bearing on other people's game, just like someone soloing the game on Nightmare with their character naked and only using the basic skills assigned at the start of the game doesn't hurt mine.

If there's an interesting thread topic 10 pages ago ill def respond if I see it.....especially in this thread, where the 9 pages between it and my response might just be pictures of ice cream.

The random OT nature of the thread is a delight, but it can also be kind of a bummer if you're in the mood for for reading Sera chatting, lol, especially because its one of the few places you can read about her without it being obnoxious, so yeah what SE said, I like it when ppl reply to older things, esp about her or the game, because chances are, I missed it!

that doesn't mean that OUR complaints are unjustified because it isn't comparable to something YOU experienced in a completely different game, no less. tf? Have you been in the last gen problem thread at all yo? I'm not talking about some duping glitch.

There are still people who can't even play the game. like it crashes immediately or never even loads. Rage just said that in here. like...whet? i haven't even dloaded the last patch because i fear it will do the same to me...in terms of making things worse and breaking things that weren't broken.

You call it cheating, I call it saving myself from tedious grind work to get the materials I want. It harmed no one and increased enjoyment for some. Don't tell people how to play and enjoy their games. It's a personal experience.

The simple fact is a major developer backed by a major publisher has all the resources they need to ensure that a game is relatively bug free when it reaches market and that all game breaking bugs have been address. This is even more true on consoles because they have fixed hardware.

Thing with them is, they don't seem to be willing to play without that sh*t. That is what I have a problem with.

I admit to being biased towards the PC version's state, not considering how the console versions perform.

This also means that I compare that to a completely different game, that is not even a similar genre.

Sooo, yup. I was wrong in the greater scope of things, not considering every possibility.

Tbh the only reason im not pissed about the SP exploit fixes is because I can use Cheat Engine. I totally get why others are, esp those on last gen consoles. Its just an annoying priority...taking away things that were fun for people and didn't hurt anyone vs fixing gamebreaking problems.

Empirical - well, anecdotal evidence suggests that the bolded part is simply not true.  Although I suppose that would depend on one's definition of "relatively".

But even if they are not willing to play without cheating...why is that a problem? After spending countless hours farming just to get enough mats for one armour set, you can bet I'm never going to play the game again without duping/cheating the materials in my save.

Hell, even Dark Souls has items to raise the chance that the enemy will drop something; it may still get hours to drop what you're looking for, but at least your chances have increased. Compare that with DA:I where if you're unlucky enough you will never drop the thing you need the most, and I think you can see how for some people can be annoying to do that stuff for each and any playthrough they want to play.

I'm sorry, but farming in a single player game is annoying and pointless as heck imho.

I don't know how many hours it took me to find the dwarven longsword schematic. Lots of them, that's for sure. And the game seems kinda biased towards maces and axes in general.

Don't give them ideas, Monkey.
