Empirical - well, anecdotal evidence suggests that the bolded part is simply not true.  Although I suppose that would depend on one's definition of "relatively".

As someone with a 15 year work history in both program development and as a qa analyst, whos portfolio includes contract work for indy developers, aaa devlopers and tech companies, I can say it's the truth. The issue is that companies are at the mercy of stock holders and suits that only care about turning a profit. So programs and tech are rushing to market long before they are ready in order to maximize profits. If you honestly think that isn't the case, I can probably dig up some emails from my time at Comcast where I was contracted to help develop the software for the X1 cable box and qa it as well. Though comcast will probably try to come after me for it because it would further damage their less than sterling reputation and break the terms of the contract I signed with them.

did you find a T3 sword schematic XD

wait idea!

What if we had a Marketplace where people sell stuff like in mmos. DAI is already "bordering a mmo" says the disgruntled fans might aswell have one

Would be kind of pointless. There isn't enough in the game to make it worthwhile, and any and all items appear in your game anyway. With MMO's, you tend to find in marketplaces, items of incredible rarity that have a really low drop rate. If it were implemented, you wouldn't find much that you didn't know existed or didn't know how to get yourself.

I don't know how many hours it took me to find the dwarven longsword schematic. Lots of them, that's for sure. And the game seems kinda biased towards maces and axes in general.

I think I found the Dwarven Longsword once on my second playthrough and even then it paled in comparison to the axe schematics.

As if their gay agenda wasn't enough, it appears there's an axe one too.

Don't give them ideas, Monkey.

* digs into floor with foot with a innocent face* just trying to help :( Lol

But really it seems like a good compromise to the farming issue

I'm enjoying feeling like an ass...

I mean, isn't it bloody awesome, to be one? Definitely has to be! Otherwise, there wouldn't be so many people who enjoy it, right?

i always thought that the loot drops would increase in quality as the game progressed but they seem to downgrade. i mean i've hit Hissing Wastes, Emerald Graves, and the Exalted Plains in Lysindra's playthough. Get to the Western Approach and finding the Assailant blade at 137 dps just seems...ridiculous. However i refer to that as hustle loot because i sell that stuff as soon as i find a merchant. Found a Silent Jenny bow for Sera but i crafted her a Boss Lady bow. (by the way, i can't space between the created name for any weapon i've made. like there is no space bar option so i have to take the name that is there and work around it. like...why is that a thing? anyone else experience that on console?)

of course their will have to be new gear added with low rates but im talking bout "unique" crafted stuff not purely drops

They might have all the resources in the world but they don't have enough of the most important: time.  That's what I mean - they have to work with the 'resources' they have i.e. number of developers, number of testers, hours in the day, days till release.

You're not an ass, Serza, far from it. It's just that what you said sounded a bit unreasonable and you don't come across as an unreasonable person, which is why I asked you why the idea of people using cheats in a sp game bother you such. I wanted to understand your reasoning.

I also apologize if I came across as harsh, and made you feel bad as a consequence.

But what a person might have crafted can also be crafter by you if only the enemies would drop the bloody mats. I'd say a % increase in materials drops is a far better solution than using microtransations.

I guess the most logical reason that might exist is the fact I played (and still do) multiplayer games almost exclusively. You literally can't swing a dead cat on my harddrive and not hit a PvP game of some sort. Also, even a lot of my experiences in CoOp games come from someone just feeling like ruining everyone else's fun. It's deep under the skin, and the very thought of people cheating makes me angry, regardless of anything else.

It's one of my tragic flaws...

I got the space thing too but judging by Monkey's reply, it appears restricted to PS3.

Same, on 360 I think you can hit "Y" (the yellow key) to put a space between letters/words. Kasumi, have you tried to see if clicking circle, square, etc (I'm assuming you're on Playstation) does something? It might do the trick, I don't know.

Am I not?

Maybe not entirely accurate, but not taking into consideration what others may experience is certainly not a nice thing.

If I'm going to say something, I should consider the potential impact, and whether or not I have good knowledge of all the POVs.

Yet I do not.

I dont think you're an ass Serza! Everyone says things that I dont agree with, and I know I certainly do it for others too. Doesn't make anyone a bad person, esp when they're willing to listen to other people.: )

And if we talk about multiplayer/co-op/pvp games I agree with you, cheaters need to die in a fire.

But if we talk about duping gold and mats in the single player part of DA:I, I don't see the problem, really. Not everyone has the time or patience to farm for hours just to get something. ^^

Cheating especially seems necessary in Inquisition tbh like I know people play it on console and are happy, but....

I spent two hours farming stuff in the Cradle of Suledin or wev and still couldn't get a full schematic set for ONE character. And farming like that is essentially an exploit and it STILL didnt' work.

I have 500 hours on this game (probably a lot of it is leaving computer on over night on accicent with game running, but still) and I still never got the Arden Blossom as a drop. I added all that in with CheatEngine, and it wasn't even out of laziness, but because the game's gear drop system is so frustrating and poorly designed. And even when these things work, you have do the most tedious stuff to get it.

And crafting is one of my favorite parts of the game. before i started using CheatEngine, I did spend like 2 hours farming plaideweave one day. But it's ridiculous that you have to spend that much time farming cloth (and there are tons of cloth that have to be farmed, because they don't sell most cloth anwhere and it's not a repeating resource like metals or leathers).
