Yup. That's the M1928.

There are a few differences between that and the M1

This beauty here, that is the M1A1 Tommy Gun. As you can see, it's not pulled from above, and the barrel is smooth. It also lacks a compensator at the front.

Interesting.

Not being snarky, I just know nothing about guns.

Two variations of the same gun. The one the Military adopted was smaller and more compact. The one used by Law Enforcement had a longer barrel and drum magazine.

Yes. Although the M1928 could fit the box magazines, much like the military-adopted M1. I believe that the M1 lacked the ability for drum-feeding altogether.

I have found a few photos suggesting the M1928 has seen deployment in considerable numbers in the Pacific, but I admit to never seeing one on the European or African battlefields.

I still prefer a hand cannon to a Tommy Gun. Something like a S&W M29-2

Okay, so I have a computer build question, and I'm lazy and not confident in my technical research skills to risk ruining my desktop.

Who's willing to indulge my entitled attitude and offer me advice on my PC build?

You can pm me questions if you want.

Yeah, there they are. As much as I love em, I would want a M1 Garand. Patton called the M1 the greatest battle implement of the 20th century. Big Praise for a rifle when you have Bombers, Tanks and Atomic Bombs.

Honestly? I have not pulled the differences in appearance out of my butt... But I DID only just learn about them myself, as I needed a way to distinguish the two from each other.

It's not even research as much as noticing the fact I could see two different Tommies on the photos, and then comparing them.

Is that a Kimber, some variation on the MEU-SOC, or something completely different from the two?

I know that the 1911s are still rather common, despite competing with Glocks and the like on the modern market.

Glad you're feeling better, Alexia :wizard:

Okay my PS3 is starting to freeze while loading. My last attempt to finish Origins bugged out in Dust Town, and if my PS3 dies now or doesn't let me finish, I'm going to assume the universe doesn't want me to finish Origins ever.

Semper Fidelis to the 1911...

Ok, not always. I tend to mix it's use up with the SIG P226, because Navy SEALs, but that's ArmA.

Have a modern Kimber 1911.

While it does come down to personal preference, I prefer revolvers over clip feed pistols.

Yeah. That's the M14. Maybe M21...? I'll admit, I don't know the difference, other than one being a rifle, and the other a sniper rifle variation.

Outta ammo? Squeeze a fresh mag in, quick! No speedloaders required.

these gun posts make me VERY uncomfortable. I'm not asking anyone to stop because i do not have an undeserved sense of entitlement like most people. I will not be in here today though. or at least until some pages pushes this out of sight.
