I just think they are more pretty.....
 
As for being practical..that depand....if ya want fast and easy sure...if ya want messy ya can do lot with a hammer as well....the end is always the same . 
 
But I like blades better..guns never done anything to me..beside make me more Hostiles 
 

while katanas are lovly and possibly the best blade made. Ive always had a preference for rapiers a gentlemans blade http://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rapier

I was at this....bazaar once , and they were selling collectible Knifes....omg..they were soo droole worthy !But so pricey! I couldnt buy any...

No its a new Colt 1911.  Marine Corp is going back to it, getting rid of that worthless 9mil.  

 

Colts is calling it a Close Quarters Combat Pistol, but its a 1911 .45 like they used to have, upgraded of course  to be modern, but its a 1911.

 

The MARSOC was on the 1911 platform, regardless of the rest...

 

Practice my friend practice. My grandfather taught me a lot of tricks for loading a revolver with and without a speed loader. I even participated in several revolver based marksmen contests over the years. I could load a round in and fire while most would still be trying to load a clip or aim their shot. 

 

See, I'm inexperienced. It all comes down to what you can do.

 

 

Of course, everything is moot. Guns are an outright weird subject. I can't expect anyone to ever be comfortable around me, solely because of my hobbies.

If someone murdered me on the street, they'd be doing me a favor. I have no chance at being normal now.

I like the Glaive...actually in games like BG2 thats what I would use mostly when I have a fighter .

Oh, hell no. The Katana is a good sword. But, it is by no means the best. Check out the ancient Norse Long Swords. The blade was so dense and heavy it could hack through a shield like it was paper.

well to collect Katana..is gorgeous...

Gladius was a shorter sword and worked well in the early empire. The Spatha was a long sword, with a longer reach copied from the germanic foes, and popular with Roman armies from the 3rd century till the beginnings of the Arab conquest.

Have a post for you but I think it got left behind. Check out the ancient Norse Long Swords. They totally beat out Katanas, hands down.
