So apparently you have to do more than just the main missions. I wish I had a save before Ilos.
Oh well, as long as I can have a romance in ME2 or 3, I'll be okay.
Why didnt ya do the side quest ? Cose...they are good . They have cutsceneeeeee..and ya get to visit many planets with different Sun and what not .
Well if you barrel through the main story without doing companion quests or side quests, what do you expect?
The romances in ME1 itself aren't as deep as in some later BioWare games, but they sure are there, and once spread over three games like Liara's is, they are IMO deeper and more satisfying than DA...

I didn't know I had to do stuff in between! I talked to everyone between each mission. That's how I got Garrus' side quest!
It's MEs fault for not making it obvious that I had to finish things before Ilos. It should have a disclaimer like DA:I (*This mission will set events in place that lead to the end game, please complete any side missions now)

I still haven't gotten all the achievements. It's the complete the majority of the game with [character name] that bug me. Also the 75% renegade.

ME1 is, in many things, not obvious. You do have to look out for things and dig for them. Its a great game but its definitely a bit of a grind and it doesn't lay it all out for you, so its easy to miss things in it until you've played it a few times.
