Whoa, finally caught up with the thread...I love how chatty ya'll are. xD
I thought this game was like Dark Souls (never played it) but according to Artemis, it's not.
'Cuz it's not, by a long shot. Trust me. ^^
It has some elements taken from the Souls series. But, it's nowhere near as unforgiving. In the Souls games planning, timing and quick thinking are a must. Because even the slightest mistake can and probably will end in game over. Though Dark Souls 2 is a bit more of a forgiving game than Demon Souls and Dark Souls 1.
Yup, this ^
Ugh Demon Souls. I have yet to beat it. But Dark Souls I & II are somewhat tolerable.
You have no idea just how much and for how long I've wanted to play with Demon's Souls...I chose the wrong console.
Well, nothing in Dark Souls 2 was as bad as Blighttown. I made the mistake of going into BT with hardly any poison resistant gear or a way to remove the poison effect. Needless to say it was not fun at all.
Poison is not that dangerous in DS, it's so slow you shouldn't get killed by it if you have still estus at hand...now, toxic on the other hand was a pain, thankfully only a few, non-respawning enemies inflicted that status, so once they were killed there was no more danger.
No, the true horror of that place was the framerate drop that made my character move in slow motion.
Poison in DS2 is way nastier, it's basically as dangerous as toxic was in DS.
@Dgyre
i shelved the game for awhile because I can't do much without the patch. multiplayer was a time killer if i was waiting in long war table missions to complete and i can't play that unless i update. Eh. Hadn't ran into Calpernia related missions anymore after Under Her Skin.
BUT, and this is for Artemis really, i did put the game in yesterday to test the missing ability to space between created names for crafted items and that ability doesn't exist on the PS3. Even after pressing the square button. such a weird and random bug.
I'm sorry it didn't work.
It's a very weird bug...just out of curiosity, does this happen only in DA:I or are other games affected? If other games have this problem too then I wonder why Sony never did anything to fix the issue, it's odd.
Also... damn. Toooo much offtopic.
