Ooh, when I was in Wales a few summers ago, we took a steam train up to Snowdonia which is just gorgeous.It's a huge crater at the top of a mountain.  

 

 
 

You mean that the train up the side of Snowdon itself? Snowdon is the mountain, and Snowdonia is the name of the region, which also contains the Ffestiniog railway. Both are cool. My mum's from North Wales, so I know them well.

There are fields, but lots of hills, too. Also parts of wales used to be mining country, although that's no longer economically viable.

fun innit. I usually get my whole mouth numbed(since i have a innate tolerance to it) then my mouth is just open for hrs so i loom over my dog and wait... XD

Lol, yes. It's been a few years since I went, I just remembered the name Snowdonia. It was just lovely though.

It's kind of funny in Katmai National Park you walk amongst the grizzly bears, making noise so you don't startle them, as long as you are careful they rarely attack humans but polar bears are a different story they would look at us as food. When staying in the town of Churchill they have people who watch for polar bears entering the town, if they see one the sirens go off and everyone goes inside until they catch the bear.

Grizzly: hmm humans... too much work... we'll see * goes back to eating honey*

Polar: * sees a town* hmm i can eat * walks into town*

Humans: POLAR BEAR!!!! *runs in panic*

In Churchill they do exactly what you just mentioned and when a bear comes back they are put in the polar bear jail until the Bay freezes then they let them go so they can hunt. The polar bears gather around Churchill because the water freezes there first, something about fresh water and salt water mixing there, at least I think that was the explanation given.
