Aren't most sequels awful? Barring the Tinkerbell movies of course.

Actually yeah, but I didn't like the third one.

And all the Toy Story films were good too.

I'm beginning to think that we should have a Sera thread discussion group for random off-topic posts and keep this thread for Sera and the discussion thereof.

Didn't you live through the Mass Effect character forum disaster? You remember that that started because of exactly this thing, right?

That would work for me, like a Sera Tavern. Let's face it, this place is rarely Sera related, but I'd miss every regular here.

The Mass Effect forums no longer have character threads, because the character threads were full of drama and trolling and countertrolling. There were many issues, but the fundamental breakdown was that character threads were for both the people who wanted to discuss the character and the people who were fans of the character. The fans thought that "discussion" people who trashed their beloved character were trolling; the discussion people thought that the "fans" were a bunch of insular hugboxers. Eventually the place became so toxic that it was entirely shut down.

Dragon Age still has those threads, because we've generally been able to coexist with each other and carry on discussions simultaneously when they occur. Trying to hijack character threads to make them solely be about "discussion" or "fandom" to the exclusion of the other is what got us into the previous mess, and it'd be nice if we continued to avoid that problem.

If you want to discuss Sera, then go right ahead. We'll discuss. However, seeing as the game has been out for several months, pretty much every topic under the sun has been brought up and discussed. If this thread were to remain just for Sera discussion, a perfectly good, fun thread would wither and die until new stuff gets released, by which point a topic will arise for the given information and wouldn't necessarily be discussed here.

But like I said. You want to discuss Sera, we'll discuss Sera.

Oh wow. That is... really really tragic but also ridiculous that people could let it get so out of hand.

Wow...

Actually, the Mass Effect character threads were brought back, just made harder to find (the Party Members subforum was placed under Customization).

Lysindra cares a great deal about that Sutherland fellow and company. To the point that she went to rescue them when they went missing. never played his missions out in any other playthrough but i'll admit i panicked when that runner told Lysindra they were missing. whatevs. still a thug.
