And there are many things that the the projekt could learn too, most notably how to include protagonists who aren't straight men.

Well in their defence they are kinda locked in with Geralt. He was written by someone else and they can deviate only so far from the original. We will see how their cyberpunk project fares :) Though in terms of not being uptight prudes in regards to sexuality, they take the prize. No m/m though :( So bravery from the projekt, diversity from Bioware :)

To be fair, CDPR has only made one series of games up till now, which are based on a popular Polish book series. I don't think the exclusion was intentional on its part, just an unfortunate implication of adapting the original series.

The company's new game (Cyberpunk 2077) is supposed to have actual character customization (gender, etc).

But that's neither here nor there....Sera is awesome  :D

There are things BW could learn from CDRED...But it's EA whose calling the shots and EA is a prude. But yeah, it would be awesome to have that customization option and have it mentioned. I know I have been in situations where I wish I had studs there, my jaw can only take so much....(Innuendo without any naughty words ftw :D)

I don't think the problem would be prudeness, but devoting resources to tongue customization and then acknowledging said customization in the game.

Sorry, but Witcher games are really immature when it comes to approach to sex, or women. And it doesn't really have much to do with source material (Sapkowski is leftist and actually writes female characters good).

Horny slightly inebriated statements made after midnight should not be taken seriously. Except the bit about Sera figuring out the proper use of those studs. And that I have wished that I had those. Nearly dislocating your jaw hurts ... :D ....I really shouldn't be here in this condition xD

I agree it's kinda weird to call out CDPRED now on one straight male protagonist since they've only done two games (three coming) which all feature the same protagonist from an established book series.  I'll probably look to see how they do with Cyberpunk which I believe is supposed to be much more customizable.  Just a note though, comparisons/arguments about Bioware and CDProjectRed games is pretty heavily discouraged here with this already being the rules put in the general Witchter thread itself.

1) The discussion is about The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt, not how this compares, favorably or unfavorably, to BioWare products.

2) There will be no call outs to or insults of other companies or fan communities.

3) Everyone play nice.

Saying red can learn a few things from bioware is a insult saying they should do a better job with Geralt instead of just being a straight man.

Sex is inherently silly. Plenty of inappropriate giggling involved when its going right. All I got to say about that :D Now Sera...What do you think would it take to impress her to get her romantically involved?

I'm not sure if anyone has brought this up, but does anyone think that Sera is Red Jenny?

What if Red Jenny is actually a pseudonym for the current leader of the group, rather than an actual person (named Jenny who likes red :D)?

Nope, it's not about him being a straight man. The problem with sexism was called out numerous times, for further explanations check out google. And they wouldn't need to learn from Bioware, all they needed was just really following the source material from Sapkowski's books.

...Xil didn't say that they should make Geralt bisexual . She said they should include other type of protagonists other then straight male. Saying that they should learn from Bioware to include different protagonists other then straight males isn't an insult, regardless of your opinion on the matter.

Given certain traits of much of the Witcher fandom I don't exactly trust the projekt in this regard. But we can see, I suppose...

Sexually, or only in relationship terms?

Templar is responding to Xil's suggestion on including protagonists of different gender and sexuality. While I don't agree with him, women's portrayals in TW has nothing to do with this.

Nah,I believe that Red Jenny is a collective and Sera can't possibly be her.

Collectives tend to fail without some kind of leadership, though.

Fine but you should not call red out and say add a female when they only made to games and have to follow the book.

Relationship terms. You know, to catch her eye. Kinda difficult to draw conclusions as we know so very little about her personality but I'm thinking that a pc who thinks before she acts and takes the sneaky, less murderous route would catch her attention.

In books, Ciri was one of protagonists. And IIRC, she was bisexual and mix of almost witcher and mage.
