So other than a enb and high res textures are there any other mods I really need to snag for Mass Effect?

Yes! I rule! I got ME2 working! Had to disable every online function of origin, including save syncing to the cloud.
But I have Esri imported and she looks prettier as an import than anything I was able to create in the CC, so I didn't bother going through the intro multiple times, just a straight copy over.
I miss my thermal weapons though. Boohoo. ![]()

Vivienne my dear, you're making the most frightful scene! Wherever did you learn that it was acceptable to stand on a shopkeeper's produce?
She's always standing on the little guy..

Hip hip!
I prefer heat sinks to the thermals. I tend to hold down the trigger so a quick reload is better than a long cool down.

Sera's so stinking cute. I'm trying to finish the Cullenmance PT I never finished, because it's my only character I can see drinking from the Well of Sorrows, and I just got her dialogue about Cullen. "Oooh your Cully Wully. Lots of men under him. Needs a woman on top of him. Because positions."
Haha, she really does have some of the best dialogue!

Endless bullets though! If I run out of clips in ME2, I'm dead!

Can't you put up with the long coat for one battle?
I love the long coat. Just made a new one... I does suck that there are so few different armours for non-humans, though, especially Qunari. I hope the schematics in the new patch help with that.
I don't know, but both of my characters just wear Elfy armors.
Kind of fitting, since they're both elves, right.
Also, both romancing Sera. Oh the irony.
I agree. She was a bard. She may not like killing and she may not have been at Leliana's level, but she was one. She's nobility, so she acts properly, but I'm sure that she's pretty experienced with the ways of the world.
Well, Leliana said she was "inexperienced in terms of love", not "inexperienced in terms of bedding people," so I doubt she's actually, you know...
More like, she never fell in love before. While Leliana may have, depending on the outcome of Origins, fallen for someone pretty deep.
Also, Leli was with Marjolaine. Before the whole stabby stabby backy backy bit.
Being a bard doesn't mean they all sleep with people
No, but you certainly know things regardless. The Great Game, remember?

Hooray!
Also, you'll have to wait until ME3 for more cooldown weapons. And even then, the two cooldown-ers are DLCs (Particle Rifle and the M-7 Lancer, in From Ashes and Citadel, respectively)
Also, Particle Rifle requires a charge up before it reaches full damage, so it's long burst only. Lancer reaches full damage capability the moment you pull the trigger. BOOM BOOM BOOM! Not pew pew pew pew pew pew pew PEW PEW PEW PEW. Size of letters indicates how long it takes the Particle Rifle to reach useful damage levels. Plus, when there, the Particle rifle EATS through the mag. The Lancer, not so much. Plus, both have a five second cool down time until your ammo starts getting back if you punch an entire mag in somebody's face. The Lancer has both higher immediate damage, and is easier to NOT run out with, IMHO.

And THAT is why we love 'er. ![]()

Infinite ammunition, though.
Plus an added advantage if you're used to shorter bursts/semi-automatic is the fact you'll rarely let stuff overheat.
Endless bullets though! If I run out of clips in ME2, I'm dead!
Yup. Never had the problem myself, but I still prefer the cool down mechanics of 2183, because I don't need to constantly worry about clips/actively look for them. I always just stop shooting for a second, BAM FULL MAG.

Infinite ammunition is only helpful if there's a serious danger of running out of shots, which there isn't unless you're really really really bad.

Ammo isn't very hard to come by so long as you are fairly accurate with your shots and aren't wasting them on a wall. Most fights, an enemy or two will drop heat sinks (generally enough for one or two magazines) so you should be okay.

No challenge if you've constantly got ammo.

With Dazzle there's always a major chance of running out of ammo. ![]()

I keep thinking "Extremely long engagements, Ancestors know when I'll get a resupply" - the reason why I love the Lancer so much...
And why I always lug around over twenty mags worth of ammo in ArmA.

Trust me, everywhere I can, I carry around so much ammo I'm not shooting HALF of it.
Ammo is not a challenge to me. Tactics is. I'd never allow myself to run out if I could prevent it.

There's the difference. I'm playing for story, I don't want any challenge in my fights. They're just the obstacle between me and the next chapter and I want them gone.

Dazzle, ME3 has Narrative Mode, which is, iirc, even easier than DA:I's casual mode.

Fair enough. I prefer the narrative as well. Like Veeia said though, there is a narrative option in ME3 which makes any fight a breeze really.

When I saw Sera before the game I thought that they'd given up on the whole "Elves don't wear shoes" thing from DA2, but I was wrong... I realise that there are people who go around with no shoes and that your skin gets tough and all that, but I still find the idea of a culture that rejects them entirely, especially while still happily wearing protective armour, to be weird. For that reason I prefer non-elfy armour.I don't know, but both of my characters just wear Elfy armors.

They've got some weird stuff in their culture. I think Merrill mentions it in a banter.

do the dalish armors not have shoes? i didn't notice, haha. anyway, solution (for pc players at least): get the dalish jams mod, and then you can have elfy clothes with boots. (um, no boots pictured bcuz i didnt have any in my screenies that showed them, but you can see the tops OK)

BioWare need to pay for these mods and get them as DLC for console users. The stuff in game is so bland and boring, it's a wonder how such a creative team thought it was a good idea.

Maybe not then. Don't like feet.
