Veeia already posted it a few pages back. I gave it a "like" from my Tumblr.

Yup. Got it from Veeia then.

Thanks, green-hulk-lady!

It's bloody spot on, though.

People blame Sera for Verchiel. HELLO, THERE WAS A GUY CASUALLY RUINING PEOPLE'S LIVES. HE GOT HIS BRAINS CAVED IN BY A KNEE. DEAL WITH IT.

Not to mention when you first meet him he's just slaughtered her friends and attempted to have you killed. Kind of a understandable reaction on her part.

Sera: I used to be a thief. Then I took a jackass to the knee. Still have bits of him stuck too. Eww.

Yeah. Sera acted out of anger and jumped the gun, but holy heck, the only thing I can tell her she did wrong is let her emotions take over.

Guy was moments away from scalpel-grade controlled violence. Emotions are good. But clean your head first before you bash somebody's brains in.

Less chance for messing up that way. That's about the only reason. Well, maybe the fact that if you put too many emotions, you may cross the line you're already tip-toeing by comitting to violence in the first place.

I totally agree. I want to be told where to go! I like how DA:O handled it. You have 3 places you can go and you can do them in any order, but you know where you're going and why.

I know open world isn't for everyone but, honestly I can't even play DA:O and DA: 2 anymore. I actually started gaming with open world games Fallout 1&2, Morrowind and others. So, linear games all ways feel so limited to me. It makes me want to scream Why can't I climb that mountain and see what's on the other side?. I hope Bioware can strike a good balance between narrative and exploring a open world so we can all get what we want.

They could have included an option to tell her not to do it because you were placing him under arrest. But some people hold it against her and I can't. It's a wartime situation you're already in and the guy did just kill your friends and try to kill you. It may not be nice what she does and certainly she should keep her head but...

Wait a buddy of mine used to have a saying for situations like this: "I do not approve. However I understand."

Maybe that fits here?

I do like my mountain jumping... I've always been a story gamer though, so I was very used to visual novels and linear games.

I love open world games too, but I can still enjoy a linear story if it's done well. I think DAI did not employ the open world well. The story feels oddly disjointed from the gameplay for me.

The lack of interactivity with objects was a downside for me. Part of the fun in games like Fallout 3 and TES is how you can spend hours just mucking about with the junk you pick up. And turning book pages in TES feels oddly satisfying for some reason.

At least the cool thing for you guys is that now that the game has been out for a few months there are guides on how to proceed. So, like Alexia getting our advice on what areas to do in what order, people who like a more linear thing can jump in now, use the guides, and have that comfy road-map they need to enjoy the game. Or am I being too optimistic here?
