At least the cool thing for you guys is that now that the game has been out for a few months there are guides on how to proceed. So, like Alexia getting our advice on what areas to do in what order, people who like a more linear thing can jump in now, use the guides, and have that comfy road-map they need to enjoy the game. Or am I being too optimistic here?

Too optimistic...the story still suck..and aint dragging us by the nose

Jump the gun ? doesnt that often mean...ya overreact ? come on....he killed her peoples.....and is acting all Snobby...he got lucky.....I would have done worse to him....

I think "jumping the gun" means you do something too quickly, like an early start.

So, no. She did not overreact, but...

Well. She should've cooled down a little bit, then put one precise arrow in his forehead.

But nothing went wrong, so what am I even talking about. Sera, knee away!

They could have included an option to tell her not to do it because you were placing him under arrest. But some people hold it against her and I can't. It's a wartime situation you're already in and the guy did just kill your friends and try to kill you. It may not be nice what she does and certainly she should keep her head but...

Wait a buddy of mine used to have a saying for situations like this: "I do not approve. However I understand."

Maybe that fits here?

Yes. The guy just killed people that were more or less your allies, and attempted to kill you.

He got more than he bargained for. The only reason not killing him considerable is the fact he is unarmed.

But, no Geneva convention, so... he may not be so lucky. Also, I don't think he'd be shown much mercy in the medieval.

I dont mind good balance..but in this game they dropped the ball . Its like those like ya who like to climb everywhere... got their wishes . And us..those who love the story and be dragged around by it...didnt get it.......Ah well..maybe next time .

Yeah, I feel yah. I think this was kind of an experiment for them. Hopefully in future titles they can balance it out and give both sides what they want.

i love bones lol. Booth keeps c4 in the house lol

Wait, what's the original name of that? I see an episode every now and then, but I mostly watch NCIS. It simply feels most... realistic? of all the tv shows on that topic.

At least in the parts I understand.

I love open world games too, but I can still enjoy a linear story if it's done well. I think DAI did not employ the open world well. The story feels oddly disjointed from the gameplay for me.

The lack of interactivity with objects was a downside for me. Part of the fun in games like Fallout 3 and TES is how you can spend hours just mucking about with the junk you pick up. And turning book pages in TES feels oddly satisfying for some reason.

I would kind of agree a little bit with your statement however I still really liked the game. If anything I think they can learn from this and beef up the main story a bit more if they try this format again (I suspect they will as this has been the most successful installment sales-wise). I felt the main story was a little thin and could have taken place a bit more in the areas you visit. I can see how people felt it was all very disconnected. I still enjoy romping around the maps but I can see where the game is not perfect as a result.

Thats not true....

He was armed . he was armed by his privilége and Noble status . he was armed by his connection and wealth . He was armed by his Elitist knowledge and position in the world .By his Noble name and family weight... He was Plenty Armed...

And he deserve what he got....

Well the argument that he is defenseless is sort of not happening for me. He doesn't have a weapon in his hands but he did have men. Men who were armed. He may not have had his hands directly on a trigger but he could order one pulled for him and did.

Well....

And in case you'd forgotten...

Yes! I rule! I got ME2 working! Had to disable every online function of origin, including save syncing to the cloud.

But I have Esri imported and she looks prettier as an import than anything I was able to create in the CC, so I didn't bother going through the intro multiple times, just a straight copy over.

I miss my thermal weapons though. Boohoo.  :(

We want prettier Esri pics! :wizard:

Sera's so stinking cute. I'm trying to finish the Cullenmance PT I never finished, because it's my only character I can see drinking from the Well of Sorrows, and I just got her dialogue about Cullen. "Oooh your Cully Wully. Lots of men under him. Needs a woman on top of him. Because positions."

She.  Is.  So.  Funny.

So other than a enb and high res textures are there any other mods I really need to snag for Mass Effect?

What high res texture mod are you intending to use?  I'd be interested myself, as long as it's not too difficult/damaging to do.

Nice meta about Sera here.

(sorry if it's been posted already?)

100% truth.

I don't know if it'll be considered that sucessful once all the refunds are tabulated...

Well, no sword, bow, dagger or staff on him.

Otherwise, I agree.

And the moment he picks up Sera's knife?

"...but being that this is a hundred pound bow, some of the most powerful in Thedas, you've got to ask yourself one question. Do I feel lucky? Well, do you, punk?"

He calls for the extreme that is elimination.

Still saw it listed as top four game on Polygon this week. It's been top 4 since early December. I'd say it's a hit for them.

Well, to me it's that I enjoy both types of games, but the mix here felt like it was halfway for both styles. Not enough elements of exploration or storytelling for my taste. I like rum, I like coca cola and I like them mixed, but the proportions here didn't feel right.

Not enough rum to get me drunk. :D

I hate George R.R. Martin's writing actually. I couldn't get past the first 10 chapters of the first book. Tossed it aside in favour of the Dresden Files.

Gotta love The Dresden Files.  Awesomeness.

"The building was on fire and it wasn't my fault".

Best opening line of a book ever.

And here I thought Bones is just the protagonist's nickname.

Well, as I said, I prefer NCIS. More realism in the parts I understand. Feels like they actually check those facts before they write them. Unexpected.

Or maybe I'm being played, and they actually don't know or even try.

Alright, I'll try and take some flattering ones tonight. It's not like she looks that different, just better than what I could have made in the ME2 CC.

Just interested to see how she looks with the slightly improved graphics.

As an aside, Daz... you might want to consider attempting to recreate her in the ME2 CC anyway... you can switch back and forth between the "imported" and "customised" options in that CC to compare.  I only say it because the import for ME3 was notorious for ruining the faces when they were imported, because the process was just rubbish at it.  Many characters ended up looking like disasters.  But if you can recreate Esri... you can take note of the face code for her (which I don't think you get on an import) and use that code to recreate Esri in ME3 should it prove necessary.

I played with the ME2 and the ME3 demo before the game came out to do that, and it was fortunate I did because the ME3 import buggered my character's face up, even though he wasn't that complicated a face.

I approve.

In fact, I believe it is "A life for a couple dozen, perhaps hundreds of lives"

Dead as dead can be it is.
