I don't mind Blackwall. He did something terrible, yes. He also can't fix it, nor can killing him fix it, so all that matters to me is that he's no longer dangerous and willing to do good. Which he is. I'll sentence him to join the Grey Wardens anyway, though, because there's legal precedent for that and he finds it satisfying.

 

Yep. I find either keeping him conscripted to the Inquisition or sending him to the Wardens the best option. But you cannot fix his past and he cannot either. He seems to want to do good in the present so the opportunity is there for him to do so especially as it will be risky work.

Yes. It's not nearly as bad as what he did initially anyway.

No you can't forgive him. He can't even forgive himself. You give him a sword and put him to work. If you think about it, it is a sentence you pronounce upon him.

But what if someone was paying the price for him......and what if others were on the run because of him ? So while he is traveling around as a warden...and blabbering about heroic ....others are not getting a life because of him...

Well, I forgive him personally.

Which sucks... but it also can't be fixed, so all you can do is more good in the future.

I like how the guy in that topic says that he's talking "on purely technical level" and then chooses to illustrate his point with the most angry grumpy shot of Cass that he can find...

Well he does try to get that guy who is going to hang for him off the hook.  You're not just killing him or sending him to jail either. You're basically saying "you've been a dirty, no good, rotten coward, who got a lot of people killed but you're going to be put to work to help others. You'll fight Cory's people, you'll help refugees, you might die doing it and you won't know a day's comfort till you die. You're a permanent soldier mister!"

Would you also have any warden executed for their crimes? Sending him to them is an appropriate punishment, as that was his original one.

I just find him interesting because he is one of few characters in Bioware that actually cared that they had killed people and wanted to be punished. Sten was almost there, but he seemed to want to die more because he lost control and his sword than for any guilt from killing a family.

So..? the one who conscripted him....did he know what he did ? and even so..doesnt exuse what he did . 

 

Look what he did was horrible.......he get conscripted , serve as a gray warden..die in Glory in the end yada yada . 

 

But it didnt work like that ! he got conscripted but never became a gray warden . Instead of finding the gray warden and finish his sentance...he kept running around , preaching goodness and LYING!!! That ****** me off to no end........
