And we are cancelling the concert. I'll have to actually buy a mike. My computer can't hear me over the accompaniment, and when I turn down the accompaniment all I get is static.

Both shows are on my list. But, I have to finish the last season of the original Thundercats and I'm only 10 or 12 episodes into M.A.S.K.
Hah! I got it. Listen with your sound down way low because there are a few high notes where it cuts out completely, but it's actually not a bad recording!

You do have a nice voice that's for sure. I'll ask my buddy who runs a home studio what you can use for a decent recording setup that won't break the bank. Simply because you have talent and you might as well share it.
I tried to use my headset to record some guitar and well it didn't work. The couple of songs I recorded where a very distorted and jumbled mess. I did some feedback from my amp as well. So our rock concert will have to wait.
