I have pretty much no tolerance for aggressive arseholes, which is why I tend to steer well clear of any multiplayer game unless playing with friends...

*covering my eyes* nope can never see the breakup scene. I'll never drink from the well of sorrows while romancing Sera ever again, put me in a bad mood.

 

Now you know what makes that happen so at least some good came from it.

basically i only got back into it cause of suggestion and cause my sis needed somebody to play with

When I was playing GW2 for a few months, that was actually kind of fun for a while. I spent all my time in WvW as a cantrip ele, and there was kind of a decent group of people. We looked out for keeps, shared responsibility for preparing and defending. Cantrip ele is really good at running away from large groups of players too

 

That was the only time I ever participated in actual chat outside a guild. I was in the mumble for the home battleground, and it was fun.

 

I think I had to walk away from that because social anxiety returned and was all "What are you doing actually talking to people gaaaa"

I remember one time there was this big guild running around taking care of things (they had their own chat because of spies), and I was watching this one small keep. A group of like 40 enemy players showed up and started taking out the sentry, and I called for help. I just told general chat how many there were, how many rams they had on the gate, and tried defending. There were two of us in the keep I think. Then the big guild I called on was suddenly there like cavalry or something.

 

Stuff like that was fun.

Though occasionally one can find pictures of ice skating bartenders just when you need it the most and then google is the best.

 

I know ice skating bartenders have got me out of a few scrapes.

GW2 has a better community , the few times I was there..I never seen any troll or ******* for that matter . And peoples are helpful and willing to ressurect ya if ya ask for it . In swtor...I aksed for a ressurect and got major ignore...then on chat..and got major 'buahah enjoy the ground noob!' ...

I wonder if you can just avoid talking to Sera after Mythal until the end of the game it sucks but that's how much I hate the conversation with an elf.

 

Hmm, unless they built a gate which pulls you into a convo or lock out progress without the convo it seems likely you can. I have a save just before, I could give it a go.

GW2 is set up in such a way that rezzing people is rewarded, though isn't it? Kind of encourages people to run around doing that. I like rezzing random strangers anyway because I always used to be a healer, but in GW2 it seemed like everybody was doing it.

No it's been a while, I was just thinking about it and looking for some old screenshots of my elementalist. I found a couple of folders, but I know I had a lot more screens than this.

 

But there's a woman in the office who still plays, and she's always talking about it. I might go back sometime.
