She's gay, so yes.
I think we need a non-bitter lesbian in this group.

So from the GaymerX interview with Gaider, it appears some companions are mandatory while others are optional, just like before. I wonder if you guys think Sera will be optional?
Unless it's not so black and white... like we might be required to have two or three specific companions in addition to a few others who can be any combination of characters, as long as we satisfy the minimum required number of companions.
Thoughts?
Doesn't Sera track down the Inquisitor and ask to join? Hopefully, that means she wont be easy to miss, even if accepting her offer is optional.

Ah, no; I do my utmost to avoid bitterness by keeping my anger hot and current as much as possible.

This is from Sera's character profile "It’s on the streets of Orlais that the Inquisition finds Sera—or rather, she finds them."
My thought was that you could miss out on her if you don't go to the right place in Orlais. It's also possible that you have to go to that place to advance the main plot.
I would be surprised if you didn't have the option to turn her down though.
I expect that you cannot skip her. I doubt she's the one companion you have to take to the end.
Was it stated that there was only one specific companion remaining? Or just that you'll always end up with one companion? (I don't actually know the answer)

Your bitterness doesn't annoy me. Go on. ![]()

The bold is more likely, IMO. But yeah, I would also be surprised if there wasn't an option to turn her down.

It was stated that there was only one companion that you couldn't get rid of.
I'm betting on Cassandra.

'Getting rid of' isn't the same as 'skipping', though. You could technically get rid of companions you are required to recruit.
In this particular instance, I'm more worried about those whom you don't have to recruit whatsoever. My gut feeling tells me Sera is one of those, but I hope I'm wrong.
This may not be the best place to say that.
riots could occur.
Well!... I'm sure its gonna be reeeeeeeaaaaaaaaaaaally tough to lose Sera! ![]()
Vivienne is Orlais as well and she throws you a party. I suspect that quest is mandatory. It would be interesting to meet the companion that seems most associated with the nobility and the one most associated with the commoners at around the same time.
I once suggested you could meet Sera on the way to Vivienne's party. Perhaps she wants you to steal something from there?

What would the Friends of Red Jenny want from one of Vivienne's parties?
I don't know but I've heard they like painted boxes.
It's a bad idea...too similar to the Mark of the Assassin DLC ![]()

It's certainly possible that you do meet her on the way to the party, though for what reason I couldn't say. I would say a coincidence but Sera doesn't seem like the type that believes in coincidence. ![]()

Mike Laidlaw says in an E3 interview around 2:01:45 that it's possible to end the game with just one person in your party. It seems you could read that either way.

I heard this cover of Radioactive and thought of Sera.
No. When the lady inquisitor hops in the conversation with "You can toss me!" she's making a sexual advance. He brushes it off, she gets upset, and Sera jokes that he's sleeping in the stables tonight.
i like that cover, thanks for sharing it but, i think she would be more into punk or pop punk; celtic punk would work great since it is 50% working class 50% drinking songs

The cheese. Or maybe to sell smuggled Aquae Lucidious to nobles, since it seems to be the popular dope in Thedas atm.
