I hope we get to take Sera to the ball similar to the Citadel DLC. I want to see her in a gown and I would imagine her reaction would be priceless.

I'm mainly curious to know how many of these guys will be mandatory to recruit. Mike's statement is pretty ambiguous since it can be interpreted differently, as getting rid of a companion isn't the same thing as skipping them altogether.
I'm leaning towards Sera being an optional recruit because... well.

My guess is you will always run into her because she's a sneaky gal and will make sure she meets you at a spot you're guaranteed to pass through. However, I think there will be an option to tell her to GTFO. Wouldn't be the first time.

Possibly, but she wouldn't be like Leliana at least.
She is pretty headstrong though, So I guess she might be one of the easier ones to lose if you recruit her.

Yeah, Leliana and Isabela were completely optional and I loved them both (Isabela was also more plot relevant than Aveline and Merrill who you had to recruit).

Besides, if they aren't all optional, you KNOW there's going to be a lot of resentment in the thread from people who don't like having all these characters forced on us even when we don't want to take them along for this particular playthrough.
