Xenophobia is the fear of things that are different. Racism is a type of xenophobia, like Budweiser is a type of beer. All Budweiser is (allegedly) beer, but not all beer is Budweiser.

Nah, as I said earlier Racism is the belief that a certain race or group is inferior to your race and or group. Xenophobia is a fear of aliens, as in you don't trust them.

That sound the same...cose doesnt the fear eventually lead to distrust then not liking then thinking ya are superior ??

I don't like the term racism or even race for that matter. Like you said, we are all the same species. Why can't we all be seen as human beings and not just on the colour of our skin?

 

I've heard the term Xenophobia associated with Ashley and I agree with it. It's the same term used against Cerberus as well. Her attitude towards the other companions does change however as the story progresses.

it does get stale after a while

Yeah, it gets aggravating. Especially when other characters exhibit the same behavior and get a free pass.

*raise Hand* I never did ! I just think she is a hypocrite and it drive me bonker....and Shep is a specter . Maybe the council is full of doo doo head! but shepard doesnt have to be the 'for humanity specter' but a Galaxy specter.....and Ashley may distrust Alien..but her 'fear' getting in the way..so in the end , shep is the one who get all the crap.....

At least..Thats how I always played my Shep....the specter for the Galaxie..and all species matter...there is no super specie or one specie come first..they all matter....and thats something Ash doesnt get . Thats why her becoming a specter is mind blowing...she always will put humanity first ! and a specter is a defender of the Galaxy! Not just earth!
