Wow, y'all are hardcore! I've seen wild animals (the best was when I woke up in the middle of the night to a group of moose laying down outside my window under the full moon. Just gorgeous, would have made an amazing photo.) but I've never been in any sort of danger!

The closest I've ever been in danger was when a crow came down my chimney and attacked me when I was little. I still have a scar on my hand from it.

I always tell people new to up state Colorado to go to the many wild life sanctuaries here and even volunteer if you have the time. Simply because seeing and in some cases interacting with wild life in a controlled environment really helps lesson your fears and makes you less likely to freak out when you do encounter wild life in the wild. Places like Mission Wolf and The Wild Animal Sanctuary should be required stops for anyone thinking about moving to up state CO. imo

They are big, but I mean they aren't exactly horse sized. Maybe 7 feet tall, dense though.
If you're driving, always swerve. They will crush your car with you in it and walk away without a scratch.

I've been here. just observing. also there is a wintery mix happening in my state so that is quite depressing as i'm literally stuck in the house.
I heard about that big southern storm on the news. Stay indoors and keep warm. It's a good day for gaming and tv. We had a snow storm this past weekend. But what's really getting to me is the polar vortex. That makes things so much worse!

Wussies. I deal with intense snow 8 months of the year! This is the first day of the year it's been above +5 degrees celcius!

A big buck took out my aunt's blazer years ago in Virginia. Smashed in the front of it. She watched as the thing shook it off and ran off into the woods. I live in terror of deer dashing onto the road. Can't imagine having to deal with Moose!

Feeling trapped in the house never helps my mood at all.

Oh knock it off!
Ok yeah you're further north but we get intense cold not 3 or four months out of the year and we've had plenty of snow storm winters! Not a wuss! Just don't like it! ![]()
