Dazzle is listening to something totally opposite, check it out!

I don't think they've put enough effects on her voice. ;)

Also: Where are the synth noises coming from?

tea always go for the tea

Doing good.  Blasting some Sabbath inspired Doom Metal and just enjoying the morning. Though if I keep listening to this kind of music, the fuzzy guitar and bass will probably case me to start growing hair in my ears.

love ozzy osbourne. Cant understand a word sometimes but awsome.

Joan Jett and Heart?

i love joan jett

I'm at work, is it office acceptable?

It isn't that heavy or fast and the lyrics are pg. I just wouldn't crank it too loud.

lot of the regulars don't come in here much anymore. if at all. just an observation. think i might pull a Rose here soon myself. Something has been...off about this thread for me for some time now...at least two months. i think i've been coming back out of habit vs still feeling it in here. idk. trying to sort it out.

maybe i was jarred by the fact that Sera turned out to be nothing like i thought she would be...and I'm literally just realizing that today. It's not a bad thing...she's still bae. maybe it's the craziness that happened in here. i just know something feels off every time i post. so perhaps a sabbatical is in order. not fishing for sympathy or attention(cause i hate that) just thinking out loud, so to speak.

What's the technique used to render those? They're obviously not simple screengrabs.

I will pm you a list of Doom Metal bands worth checking out. Most bands use gear from the 70's and stick to a really stripped down and minimalist mix on their albums. Not really over dubbing vocals or guitar tracks and not much cleaning up or processing of any kind. More or less they setup in the studio, record a song and it sound exactly like it did in the studio when you hear it on the album. It's much needed breath of fresh air. imo.

I think ENB. Not that I really know what that is, but... I heard it, know what it's for.

Yep, they are in-game screenshots, not edited in any way.

You can check the link in my sig for more in depth info, but I use SweetFX to create a shader config that adds various post-processing techniques to the game (for example, curves, HDR, Cineon DPX, tonemapping, bloom); I use DAI Cinematic Tools for freecam control, and it also gives control over the Frostbite Engine visual tools (bloom, colour correction, character lighting, tonemapping, dof, vignette, fog) as well as shadow map resolution and fov; I also use SRWE which lets me create custom aspect ratios and swap them on the fly, so I could render the game window in the 3:4 AR above, and then render at a very high resolution (this was shot at 2430x3240). Taken all together, it gives better image quality and a whole host of visual options. I play the game with SweetFX enabled, so in terms of colours and lighting my game looks more or less as it does in those shots. I change resolution and AR when I set up a shot, same for the Cinematic Tools visual controls. In these shots, all I did with the Cinematic Tools was remove the vignette, increase the shadow map resolution, and add dof (well, and obviously activated freecam and moved it around).

Yea, that's why I can't stand a band like Dragonforce. People hailed them as the next big thing because of their very fast and complex guitar work, especially on their guitar solos. I seen them live and it was really clear they where struggling to play their own songs live. They simply used a lot of processing, over dubbing and other sound engineering tricks to make their studio albums sound better than they are. To me that's simply being dishonest with your fan base.

I have no idea what half of that means but it sounds good and it obviously renders the game really well. For those of us who can play the game at "high" or "ultra" have you thought about putting together a tutorial about how to achieve all that? Is there a guide out there? Those are fantastic shots!

I don't know that there has been an ENB created for DA:I, I don't know if any of the current binaries are compatible, I haven't seen anyone talking about it. It's mostly unnecessary in this game though, because the foundation is already there in the vanilla game, and there are plenty of things that can be tweaked with shader suites like SweetFX or ReShade (as well as the Frostbite visual controls).

In my sig there's a link to the 'Tips for taking better screenshots' thread. I've made multiple posts in there talking about the various tools, how to download them, and get started with them. Others have contributed good tips as well, and there's some troubleshooting if people can't get things like SweetFX to work. The other link in my sig - Your best Dragon Age Screenarchery - has examples of the screenshots people are taking with these tools, and there may be other tips mixed in with them that haven't found their way to the official Tips thread.

Edit: that was very rude of me, I forgot to say thank you. So, thank you! <3
