Can you give me some examples of Kate Higgins's work? I'm not familiar with her myself.
She was Madeleine, the kind of vapid, blonde merchant woman in Dragon's Dogma, if that's helpful.

I honestly don't care about her personality. She's a guaranteed member of my party (along with Cassandra and Vivienne).
That way, I won't miss any opportunities to begin and build a romantic relationship. ![]()
I need a woman who can hold her own against demons and such.
According to Gaider, he was also responsible for this bit:
I also would have accepted "to blame." I felt somewhat drained after writing the qunari plots, and I figured Hawke might be feeling similar while mired in them. The humorous dominant tone would vent a little, especially if suffering the isolation imposed by a player determined to self-limit by playing solo in a party-based game. We call that mode "crazy-naked" because who knows what other arbitrary limitations they've got going on?
tl;dr: Man, was I tired.
I wonder if Quentin's research can be of use in regards to Sera. I'm thinking of patching Athenril's face to Sera.
Bioware, make it happen!

Thank you Lukas and to David as well for creating that little scene. I didn't know about that scene until later, but many of those things Hawke says during that bit was going through my mind my first time playing. ![]()

You're in good company. Dave and Mike didn't know until it showed up on youtube. Must have slipped my mind to mention it. ![]()

Suuure it did. ![]()
Well played.
You know guys, I've been going back to that Tavern pic of Sera and thought about it some more. She could very well be describing what it was like to have her arm almost all the way up to her elbow in troll guts trying to get an item back. I'll come up with a fun caption to go with it later, but Sera could be just grossing Cassandra out. A graphic description of the smell of troll guts and the squishing sound effects as Sera is describing the event isn't exactly dinner talk. Funny, and it wouldn't bother me, but I can see someone like Cassandra finding that very off-putting. ![]()
Sera's definitely the one I'm most interested in hearing about
- and a lot of that comes from the Tavern pic.
I've already assigned her to "Team Fun" along with Iron Bull and Varric. ![]()
Woohoo, more Sera love! ![]()
I can't wait to find out more about her, and I'm so happy to see the enthusiasm in the character spreading. I'm also enjoy some folks starting to hate her, because it shows two things:
1) Based on one picture and a blurb, she's already had such vast responses.
2) That means she isn't boring. ![]()
I only wish she had made an appearance in this image, I would have loved to have seen her reaction... ![]()

I've had the theory that took place before her recruitment. Either that or the PC decided to leave the lighter hearted elf back at the camp and/or where ever companions that aren't in our party hang out.

Heh, I can just see her snoring away at the other end of the table. Chair back... feet propped up...
Then suddenly...

Sera: Okay, what the hell was that noise? And why is that fisting marker in the middle of the table?
I know nothing about this character aside from that concept art and I already like her.
She looks much more fun than that snooty blonde elf from Awakening. I didn't even take that scummy killer in my party.
Based on what we got from the survey, I wasn't too thrilled with how her personality was depicted.
Mission Vao was a brat and ended up being one of the most popular characters ever. She wasn't my favorite but you can see why Bioware would look to recreate that in some way with the huge fan love for the character.

Vette from SWTOR was also popular, and like Mission Vao was a bit of a brat.
While this is true - and with BioWare writing it tends to be more true than untrue - there are a lot of fictional characters out there that are badly written and which are hated for, y'know, being badly written. Not because they're controversial or designed to make you uncomfortable about something or whatever.
Or... badly acted. Ahem.

Well they couldn't refuse an exclusive.
bioware has invested too much time to make that mistake again.... (plus there are no tv reporters in dragon age... i hope)

I just hope that ign bird ain't in the game her voice makes me want to smash my head in.
I have a high tolerance for "bratty" behavior (I'm far more enraged at authority figures who misuse their power), so I'm not concerned with Sera thus far. And still think she's my most likely LI.
That sounds like pure abomination.
sounds to me like pure awesomeness
