Hay Nub, don't know if you know this or not but the classic western movie The Magnificent Seven is a western remake of Seven Samurai. If you have not done so I'd watch Seven Samurai and  then The Magnificent Seven. Well, if anyone has not seen  The Magnificent Seven it's worth watching. It's on my top three list of Western movies. Right up there with The Searchers and The Good, the Bad and the Ugly. 

 

Yep. I knew that and they are both favorite films. Sergio Leone was also influenced by Kurosawa and his first Clint Eastwood film "Fistful of Dollars" is a remake from Kurosawa's "Yojimbo."

Well, I will have to track a copy if Yojimbo down for sure.

 

If you've got a Hulu subscription it's in their catalogue of Criterion flicks! Well worth a look and it's sequel "Sanjuro" which I think Leone wanted to film a version of but was denied the rights. If you watch it check youtube cause some character has redubbed "Yojimbo's" final scene with Ennio Morricone's music for "Fistful of Dollars!"    I'd post it but it's spoilers.

But worth having around...and in the citadel DLC..he is just priceless .
