You know those times where you go to the store hungry and grab random crap for dinner? I just had one of those. Now I need to figure out what I'm going to make. lol
Treat it like an episode of Chopped! What'd you buy, I can help.

The only animes I really got into were Attack on Titan and Neon Genesis: Evangelion.
Well you don't get much more American than Cowboys, Film Noir and Jazz, although that's not necessarily a combination that you'd expect to see together at the same time...
Westerns are Film Noir, they just have less buildings and a different colour palette.
Would Sera grow to be less afraid of magic, in the course of time, if romancing a mage?
Sera is mostly scared by things she doesn't understand. I assume as she comes to know magic better it would scare her less. Though I guess there's the question of whether she would try to understand it, she seems to give up on learning things too easily.
as do i XDWell, I'm not a otaku but, I do like anime.

Well, I have a savory rotisserie chicken. The making of a quick and easy marinara sauce. Onion, protabello mushroom caps and a green pepper. I do not have any pasta, rice or bread at the moment. So, I thinking of making a the marinara sauce, sauteing the veggies than tossing everything into a tortilla. Sort of a Italian chicken sandwich thing.
I like Attack on Titan a lot. Used to read the manga, but I got suuuuper behind. It's really impressive as a study of something that's episodic with a serial arc that feels intentional and planned out...not like, something where things are changed or retconned as it goes. Or at least it did, when I was caught up.
(Not that I think stories shouldn't retcon or change as they go on, most need it tbh, but I was always impressed by how SnK avoided that and still felt fresh and focused)

Or you could shred the chicken and chop the veggies and do stuffed bell peppers.

True. Looks like I'll have to flip a coin.

I don't mind retconning when it makes sense but I think it's a sign that the setting wasn't built well to start or is about to be broken (or both). Infinite ammo guns were a bad idea in ME1 (for lore, gameplay and rule of cool reasons), and hacking 'totally not magazines' into the lore was an improvement, but the setting is worse off for the rule breaking.

In other news director Joseph Kahn released a dark, gritty and super violent Power Rangers short film today. Can't call it a fan film because Kahn outright said he hates the Power Ranger. The short film was a way for him to challenge himself. It was also produced by Adi Shankar and it stars James Van Der Beek as well as Katee Sackhoff.
More info and a link to the movie can be found here: http://spinoff.comic...ngers-fan-film/

As a comic geek the word retcon brings up a lot of frustration and bad memories. It does have it's place and is a useful tool for a writer to have. But, in the wrong hands it can create a gigantic mess.
whats snk bout
it's set in a world where humanity is crowded into these cities with giant walls around them (rings of walls) because there are these creatures called titans that come and attack and try to eat people for reasons no one understands. at the beginning the titans break some of the outer walls and people have to move in further. the story starts off centering around some kids who are part of the army that fights them off using these flying devices. so it starts off as kind of a show about people fighting a losing war, and then becomes about what the titans are, and lots of political intrigue etc. it's hard to explain without spoiling, lmao, but its' def worth a shot....just be mindful that it's a bit of a slow burn at first.
edit: slow burn in terms of revealing the depths of the story. it's intense right off the bat

see as a fellow comic geek, the word retcon at this point just means "oh another wednesday, eh?" so I am much less frustrated with it conceptually than other people I think, lmao.
(I mean I get mad at specific retcons still because of specific reasons, of course, but overall I'm pretty comfortable with it as a thing that happens.)
Guys, I don't know what to watch! Nothing I actually want to watch is out right now.

I suppose it comes down to a individuals perspective. The inconstancy that retcons can create stick out like a sore thumb to me. Maybe a part of me expects better writing than I should out of most mainstream comics. lol

I was thinking something a little more removed from reality...

Refreshed my recommended videos and this pop'ed up. lol
Honestly though it was one of the best shows of it's time. It's also where a lot of big name comedians became house hold names. Jim Carrey being one of them.
Gonna watch a Chloe Grace Moretz movie. ![]()

Well, I figured I would give the patch 5 beta and DA:I another go. First ctd happened during the cut scene right after I created my character. 2nd one happened right as the interrogation cut scene started. So, I deinstalled, both the beta and DA:I. Way to much frustration to deal with at this point.
