Sci-fi gets annoying for me because they're usually military stories. (Star Trek, Star Wars, Star Gate, Mass Effect, etc.)

 

While I'd argue Star Wars basically isn't military themed outside of key moments were the Rebellion turns up to lend everyone ships, I think that's an important point.

 

I like military sci-fi when that's the main theme, and they hit it hard. Most of what I found interesting in new BSG was Viper pilots with serious battle fatigue. I never finished the whole thing but the episodes Scar and 33 left a strong impression. However a lot of sci-fi is more passively military, usually marines shouting a lot and complaining about politicians - ME I'm looking at you. Beyond that there's more stories out there than just military ones.

If ME, Battlestar Galactica or Babylon 5 were just about the military, I wouldn't like them nearly so much as I do... I love how chock-full of politics and personal stories they are. I wouldn't say that they are any more about the military than Dragon Age, really...

Yeah she's the first VA credit given in the trailer.

 

Edit: I assume she's voicing the main character in the trailer. She's got so many voices it can be tough to tell!

 

Edit 2: No she's the other woman in the trailer. Main girl is Rena Strober.

It looks cool for sure. But, I tend to shy away from stealth action games. Simply because the stealth aspects tend to be tacked on and lack a lot of depth modern games. I'd kill to see a modern game with stealth mechanics as deep as the first couple Thief games.  

As it's come from mobile, I'm sure the mechanics will be different from most PC games. Not sure exactly what they'll be, though...

Me too..they arent my favorite . Like in Dreamfall..OMG..that whole stealth ya way even if for one mission..I was soooo stuck in it..I just suck lol

Tell me about it. I remember how excited I was for the new Thief game( one of my favorite game series ) wow, was I disappointed. The stealth was tacked on. Why use stealth when you can just murk all the guards.

Ah, so it's a mobile game that's being remastered for pc. I'd still be willing to give it a shot. 

Yeah. I thought some people might have played that version and could give an idea of how good it is. I'm actually quite tempted to get it on my phone for when we go to Mexico next month...
