Here is my Last Question for ya: Why would Sera Love your elfish elf ? Why would she give up her ideals , her anonymas , her way of Life...free from any clan..title.....birth right or watever...Labels......To be with ya and ya clan and ya ideals ? Why ?

Ya come off like a Cerbrus version Elf . And then all I'm hearing is 'Wahhh why Paragon Shepard doesnt join my organization ? She is Human..that should be enough to get her in the fold . Human mean by default..ya should want to have Humanity at the Top' ...

I don't know about you, but I've never played a Bioware game where I haven't felt like I've gotten everything worth having, even if it takes me a couple of playthroughs to truly reach the optimal outcome.

So why so butthurt then...? Shouldnt ya be All Happy......Ya will leave with Sera to another city . Ya are ok if she doesnt wanna meet ya clan.....and if she doesnt care about any Dalish issue . All I see is rainbow...so why arent ya happy ?

This whole thing started because I didn't want to repudiate my faith in the Creators and was asking for additional dialogue options.

So...ya want to be with her..an Andrastien . And yet keep ya own faith . Yet wanna make the elfish on Top..and one day take down the chantry ? 

 

And ya think ya gonna have a happy ending ? 

 

Ya do know...that such belief will clash sooner or later right ? 2 Peoples with different faith..heck even peoples who dont believe in Anything would end up clashing sooner or later....

 

So...if ya could make that dialogue option that ya seem to be dying for , what would it be ? 

 

'Sera I......' what ? What would ya say if ya could write the option ya want badly ?

They've stopped with the whole "I can help both parties" or " I can get both these groups to help me" so no, the BioWare way is not "I can have what I want" anymore.

when did they do that ? in mass effect ya can help both the quarian and the geth..so much good it does....the destroy option nuke both choice to lalaland...

Josephine seems to be Andrastian too, but there weren't any religious problems with that relationship.

 

And I came to this thread to ask about what might work. But probably including other Dalish in the same situation, as my own is romancing Josephine. I did, however, already post a suggestion.

when did they do that ? in mass effect ya can help both the quarian and the geth..so much good it does....the destroy option nuke both choice to lalaland...

 

They stopped after Mass Effect 3. I think they said that having the option to get both meant that that was always the best outcome. They didn't want that so they scrapped it. An example now would be the Mages and Templars. The optimal would be to help both, right? But you can't. The game forces you to make a decision rather than a compromise. I think it's better.

So, if we pretend that the Inquisitor wasn't restricted to only two dialogue options in that breakup conversation, what might possibly alleviate Sera's issues without repudiating one's own faith? I was thinking something along the lines of "What I believe has nothing to do with you or us, Sera."

And Sera's rather uncomfortable around elves, so it all fits.

I don't think Sera is flexible enough for that. She is a pig-headed character.

Which I find enjoyable as it is rather rare in Bio games. Tough luck if you're playing an elf though.

There are issues with both sides and I cannot think of a group or a faction in the Dragon Age universe that doesn't have it's hands dirty in some way.

No, but it's the optimal path. Two forces in your pocket. If the option were there, the chances of you actually helping the Templars, despite your views on them, would be higher because it only serves to better yourself. Because you can only help one, of course you are going to stick with the one you prefer.
